The title of the song in Japanese is 一刀繚乱. I really don't think "Slash it through" is a decent translation, but then, the thing is basically untranslatable anyway, so I guess it's as good as anything. Just to give a bit of context on this one, it's a combination of a couple 四字熟語. 一刀両断: Cutting in half with a single slash. It's often used metaphorically as "taking a drastic decision" but here it's meant literally, as this is a samurai story. 百花繚乱: Profusion of blooming flowers. This is often used to express the gathering of many beautiful and talented people. The combination of this two sayings describes the story of Shimousa pretty well actually, as it's literally a bunch of geniuses fighting decisive swordfighting duels. It's also really nice since 両断 and 繚乱 are pronounced almost exactly the same, which helps the listener realize the wordplay that's being done.
