She was mighty calm when telling him she's going for a divorce, would have been hard to keep your cool, especially with him trying to use the child to threaten her with, l'd have had a whole list of reason to show him. Seen this fella in other stories where's he much more of the nice guy, guess he wanted to expand his talents into another area, must say he's done a good job playing this obsessive control freak, he looks quite convincing.

He seems to know a lot about human nature, and how to manipulate others to his will… at least in the beginning…you would think he’d try in a different way to appease Rose in the end to stay…I’m surprised they didn’t give him a lover, on top of all else he did…perhaps it took all his energy to control Rose…

@@gaylerihm5779 l didn't get the feel that despite the way he was with Rosie, that he would also take on a mistress, l felt he considered Rosie his prize and didn't want to share her with anyone, other work colleagues, she might get if she went to work or even her own family, he was just obsessed with keeping her for himself. But now we've seen at his dinner celebrations there's a gold digger already setting her sights on him so now they've divorced he might hook up with her.

I think he never stood in her shoes once. Eric was selfish too, but different. Finding someone that love you, admire, gives you freedom, and respect and vice versa will last.

Marriage shortens women's lives and extend men's life expectancy, same with career prospects and happiness. This marathon run was a deep metaphor for the unequal effects of marriage on men and women, an inspiration to get to a finish line you never dreamed of attaining for one, a burden to carry to the finish line for the other. It is very rare for a marriage to be beneficial to a woman. Not worth it, but again, there is no reasoning with a woman in love.

He's drowning in his own insecurity and that's why he tries so hard to isolate Rosie from her job first and then from seeing her friends. He uses their kid to try make her feel like she should stay for the family 's sake. Too bad she wasted over 3yrs being pulled down by him, she lost most of her self-confidence.

I didn't realize that the first time I saw Crystal Liu was over 15 years ago. She did a movie with Jet Li and Jackie Chan called The Forbidden Kingdom based on the Monkey King story. It was filmed in 2008
