【Synopsis】In the last years of the Tang Dynasty, a military governor and warlord named Zhu Wen is out in the countryside when he happens to come across a boy who has been raised by wolves. The warlord decides to take the boy in, adopt him, and name him Zhu You Wen. Zhu Wen then proceeds to launch an ultimately successful coup, usurping the Tang monarch and installing himself as the first Emperor of the Later Liang Dynasty (907-923). The new Emperor names Zhu You Wen as a royal prince.
At court, Zhu You Wen forms a bond with a woman named Ma Zhai Xing, the daughter of a government official.
Despite his lofty status at court, Zhu You Wen is motivated by a strong sense of justice that was instilled in him during his years of living in the wild. He and Ma Zhai Xing begin to form a romantic bond. And with her support, he plans to temper his adoptive father’s unpopular and overly strict reforms - and battles to foil a series of dastardly plans hatched by his scheming foster brothers.

My heart broke for Wolfie when Xing'er threw the rock at his head and it left a mark.💔😭🤧 And when he came up from the water with the necklace Xing'er gave him, he loves her.🤧 Poor thing doesn't understand that she was trying to protect him. He's thinking she tried to send him away because she doesn't like him. He looked so sad.😭

I think this is my first time watching Darren's acting. So far he is pretty good . I hope it would get more as to how he gets to be with the wolves in the first place. Li Qin & Darren's younger days are pretty impressive, they looked so young. The changes after 8 years went by is quite impressive too. Truly enjoying watching this drama.

Wolfie was so innocent before what they did to his little wolfie brother and family mankind destroyed him 😩. When he was asking her to trust him and he trusts her it was already so sad he couldn't explain his innocence then she told him he is no freind anymore and hit him with stone and he was still smiling at her I felt like cuddling him and telling him don't worry you're still the goodest boy 🥺🥺.

I really enjoyed the episode, and was pleasantly surprised that the "wolf-monster is the killer" plot wasn't dragged out too much. I guess I'm too used to people getting ignored when they try to prove the truth... The scene in the mountains was a very sad one. 🙁

I am now up to Episode 11. Not only is Darren Wang and Li Qin awesome, I am enjoying Zang Hong Na and Guo Shu Yao's characters. Very expressive. Enter Xiao Zhan! Wolfie is too pure and innocent for this world 😭 I love the FL's determination and lack of that childish behavior that, at least for me, would have spoilt the story. So far it's an amazing drama!
