Oh the scene of Cher and Oyei talking about marriage equality and the proposal made me tear up. I remember when the same law was approved in my country a few years ago, and even tho I don't have plans to get married any time soon the fact that I _could_ if I wanted to is huge! The protection that kind of law can offer is so important, so I am so happy for Thailand and I hope the rest of the process will go smoothly. So that real people may enjoy the same happiness our Cher and Oyei are portraying here🌈

In my country 20 years ago people referred to gay people as "degenerates". Today they can marry and adopt (though not as coparents) and the supreme court ordered the civil registry to allow registering children born of donor sperm to be registered with two moms if they are married. Suddenly quantum leaps happen. I know islamic countries are going to be an uphill struggle as are authoritarian countries but it can happen quite quickly, especially when traditionally conservative authorities are exposed as morally corrupt (here the Catholics church complete loss of prestige for child abuse and corruption dismantled the religious powerbase).

As a gay person: i love this, i love how gmmtv is not only doing some kind of love story between two people but they bring up such important topics, especially if it comes to queer couples. We face issues on the daily and there are a lot of boyslove fans who just fetishize gay men and i feel like they miss out the people behind this. The real people. These might me "just" some actors or actress but we are very real, we exist and i can't do anything but smile whenever artists and authors point out those issues we deal with and whenever people comment and see us.
