Si feng is probably one of the best male characters in magical period dramas. His cute, adorable, smart, capable and so tragic that you cannot not feel something for him. He is able to protect the one he love and protect the universe without becoming a jerk in the process, unlike some other dramas
Although so sad that soon after Love and Redemption, he signed up for "Stand by me" and "South Wind Knows My Mood" with Ling Long. :( I can't stand them together after watching how lovely Xuan Ji and Si Feng were as a couple. I wish he could have done more shows with Xuan Ji instead of Ling Long. :( :(
@@Dee-eh3tt same, they had so much chemistry! I gave stand by me a try and that drama has one of the best court plotline and schemes I have seen. It's also so sad though. The whole cast in that one acted their hearts out to make us cry. that's why til this day, love and redemption is still my favourite from chengyi because at least the ending is a really satisfying happy ending
@Numero23 you must be brave to give Si Feng and Ling Long a go. I didn’t and won’t watch both those shows bcz of Ling Long in FL against Cheng Yi is too much to digest. I don’t find her either beautiful or talented actress at all. Also, Cheng Yi looks more handsome in historical costumes then in modern. Will wait for his future shows, hope no more Ling Long around him in them. 😖
Only drama with 50+ episodes I've watched without skipping a single episode. The story line and the characters are that good. One of my favorite dramas of all time for sure. Great cast. Going to miss them
Try Ashes of love and Ten miles of Peach blossom! To be honest I skipped a lot of episodes of this drama, and all of them were scenes where si feng Was suffering, I really could not bear to it!

If u like to watch sad drama or movie, u should watch Ayla : The daughter of war.. It's based on real story. I even still cried days after finished the movie.
This drama learns us something : revenge isn’t necessary. Revenge isn’t an option and doesn’t make you feel better. Hats off for the best fantasy c-drama ever. Everything is so perfectly written here. I had watched quite a few numbers of cdrama (historical + fantasy) setting. No other drama beat this one. It’s a well-written, every characters gets justice. From the smaller roles to lead one. They’ve all their own story and perfectly portrayed. I cried buckets of tears watching most of the episodes. The way Si Feng keep sacrificing himself without asking anything for return is just so precious, the way he got betrayed yet still never give up on Xuan Ji is so painful to watch but paid off at the end. And I would like to give a big applause to the writer for making it justice to all the characters in this drama. Everyone gets their perfect ending especially Si Feng. In return for his sacrificed in the previous 9 lives and the present one, they gave Xuan Ji suffered too for the betrayal that she did to Si Feng. She keep waiting for his forgiveness, waiting and waiting even after seasons changed. I’m so happy they end up being together happily at the end. Amazing drama, story line, a great chemistry among the cast members, great CGI (I almost believed everything happened naturally, the fights, the war, all so amazingly portrayed), and so many beautiful lessons to learned. I love all the characters, it’s hard to chose one but my ultimate fav would be Si Feng, Xuan Ji, Flying Snake and Rahu Ketu. These all characters are so amazing!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED drama to binge ♥️♥️

I'm back rewatching for a second time. I still can't believe this is my new all time favorite, beating even Ten Miles of Peach Blossom, Noble Aspirations, Ashes of Love, Journey of Flower, General and I, and Love and Destiny. Yu Sifeng beats every male lead out there for me. His personality is the most gentle, kind hearted, and understanding. His love is the purest, most innocent, and strongest. He is a character that will stay with me for a long time.
I'm in a 5 way tie now. My top 1 spot is Go Ahead, Under The Power, The Untamed, Love Me If You Dare, and Love and Redemption. Go Ahead started me on Chinese Drama which lead me to Under The Power and the rest is history. I now can't stop watching Chinese Dramas but also get turn back to these 5 number 1s.

Happy ending after long ten years. So many ups and downs, Herat aches, heart breaks. Finally them two happy together as one soul. Brilliant story, Brilliant actors and actresses. I cried so much throughout the episodes. I watched hundreds of different origins Tele drama . But I cannot recall even one single tele drama that made me so much crying, so much heart ache, so much anger throughout the stories than LOVE & REDEMPTION. After constantly watching 59 episodes, I am Now very happy that Si Fengy and Xuan Ji found their true love after Ten long re carnations. This scrip shows that no demons can defeat the true Love.
Not just 10 years. Ten lifetimes that probably have Manny ten years within them. Is a happy ending but I question the period of the struggles. But I also do understand good memories can wipe out years of torture
@@lucygali5575 Both Si Feng and Xuan Ji has celestial bodies (Si Feng is child of the Heavenly Emperor and Xuan Ji was Celestial's War God), after they're done with their mortal life (called tribulation for them since they were originally celestials but was punished to experience mortal coil for 10 lives), they will return to the celestial realm because they successfully pass this tribulation (they failed in their previous 9 lives due to inner demons, which was successfully resolved in their final lifetime which we watched). @sanah6933 It's ~1000 years. Xuan Ji was exiled to mortal realm ~1000 years before the time when the show started, lived 9 lives and on her 10th and final life as a mortal.
Finally, a Happy Ending 👏👏👏 after Si Feng & Xuan Ji suffered so much 😭. This Happy Ending is after 10 reincarnations (1,000 years). I really admire Si Feng - his devoted love to Xuan Ji, his kindness 🥰. I am so happy to see wicked Hao Chen gets punished 👏. Highly recommend this drama 👍👍👍. Hope to see more of Cheng Yi in future dramas

Si Feng, who is in love with her, willingly went to mortal world to be with her. Maybe for their 11th reincarnation, they might be reborn in the immortal world again 😀

I can't believe it's over... I'm so happy with this ending but at the same time I feel so empty that it's over! I don't know if I can find anything equally as satisfying as this whole series has been to watch. Amazing cast, amazing script, amazing set, amazing adventure. So I'm not the only one that thinks so. Lol, it's "SiFeng SiFeng SiFeng" every episode. I've always had trouble remembering names even for leads but I had no trouble here.
This needed a couple of more episodes I wanted to see a little golden bird being naughty, having his mom's temper & dad's looks, now that would have a very happy ending.
Finally drama had a good ending ❤ and happy to see everyone in this last episode except wu zhi qi😢 and purple fox. worth to see this drama💯. Yi si feng❤chu xuan ji. 😊😊
Out of 59 episodes and spending day and night watching this I can say that it was all worth it. I'll miss the casts. They really portrayed their roles at extreme level especially Sifeng. ❤️❤️❤️ I'll miss sifeng and xuan ji❤️
I don't even know how to start this note, this is absolutely one of the best dramas I have ever watched. I wish I could forget about it and rewatch it again. It was actually able to make me cry just by the pain of the actors. I have never finished a drama that was this long shows just how good it is. There is never a dull moment in this drama even if there are it's just very needed sweet moments from main and side couples. The progression of this show was mindblowing from worrying over trivial things that seemed important to actually have to save the 3 realms. This is one of the dramas where I actually remember their names just being it is always constantly being yelled, Yu Se Fing. There was not a moment of regret when I was watching this show. The chemistry between all the actors/actresses was phenomenal and so realistic. The growth of each individual character was so well written. Rahu Ketu deserved so much better. I loved how they added hints of bromance it just made me love the show even more. The love that Rahu Ketu had for Yu Se Fing and flying snake to Qing Long. Most of the time side characters have such annoying stories that take away from the main characters but Love and Redemption definitely did not have that. All the side characters were well deserving of their scenes. The ending was an incredible ending from King Bailing's death, Xuan Ji's choice to become mortal, all the side characters' scenes of happy endings, to the ending scene of all the characters enjoying life after saving the 3 realms. This show was a whole rollercoaster that didn't disappoint. I hope to find more dramas like this though this drama will forever be in my heart.

I just want to watch something light hearted as I my heart can't take sad,dramatic,evil ml or fl anymore, enough watching sad dramas. Is it worth watching or entertaining?
@@riya_nanda9214 there is a slight love triangle but it isn't has heavy as most dramas. It is though a bit heavy on the plot in terms of how much the main characters are hurt both physically and mentally. Even with this I still recommend it because even if it a sad drama it has a very good/happy ending.
I'm addicted to the way he says "Xuang Ji".🥰😭🥰 Still can't get over from this drama. Time to time I come here and watch this. This drama really let me feel the warmth of true love.

The comments really helped me to find such a great drama. I don't really like dramas with a lot of misunderstandings and suffering but this drama is an exception. The leads are both powerful especially the girl which i really love the most. Tho i hate to see how stupid Xuanji was sometimes and how Sifeng has to suffer a lot for her, i actually didn't cry at all those parts, i only cried at the part where they reconciled and all the misunderstandings were finally settled. I just can't contain all the emotions, maybe i'm just happy that Sifeng finally got the love and happiness he deserves. His sacrifices for Xuanji finally paid off. Plus the ending is so beautiful, not rush so i'm very satisfied. One of the best ending i've ever seen in chinese dramas. This becomes my favorite chinese fantasy drama along with THE UNTAMED and TEN MILES OF PEACH BLOSSOMS.

Yeah I was also thinking that actually all the fault was of bailing why crying for him Mosha star suffered so much he had the soft and pure heart but that bailing made him the vengeful demon people on the screen was crying for bailing and we viewers are crying for mosha star Actually the heavenly Dijun post mattered and Mosha star's origin as Asura made him everyone's enemy Otherwise even the heartless people can feel the pain of Mosha Star🤧
Rahu ketu pure heart was rewarded with most selfless loyal and sincere heart of si fang aka prince of Heaven. He at the end said if he could live once again... while transferring half of his heart to si fang... while Xian ji has his mortal heart. Through them he finally found the sincere love that he deserves. As Bailing died so his hatred in the form of Rahu ketu also died. Only love as the form of xuan ji lived on.
My dear ..it pained me as well.. But l think star of mosha was able to find happinesses.. Because a part of him got to experience the love and commitment he wasn't able to get..xuan ji is a part of him so if she is happy automatically he is happy as well...

Finally, I'm done watching all the episodes! Although I only found out about the existence of this drama this year and have just finished watching this drama, I cannot deny that Xuan Ji and Si Feng are the most perfect lovers among any C-drama I have watched. Hats off to the best fanstasy C-Drama ever. Kudos to the writers and to all the amazing actors and actresses. All of you did a GREAT JOB! One of a best Chinese historical drama I expected and watched. The story line was really worth for all. I really love the couples and the relationships between all the characters. I loved the master and spirit beast (Xuanji and Flying Snake)
Well finally they ended up together with full joy and happiness that is worth so many things they sacrificed and suffered. This is such a nice epic love story all thanks to the team behind this good work
