"I hope everybody find this useful when fighting against opponent with strong low attacks. When your opponent crouches, you crouch at the same time." Easily one of the best tip I've heard.

Daigo is just super awesome. I don't know any word to describe him better than this. He's so kind for sharing all of his thought and tactic, not scared of doing so. So much thought behind all of the match. Result in 10-2. AMAZING.

Daigo is the best. Showing once again...a winner is not whom always wins, but the one who learns from his defeats and reaches higher levels. When infiltration destroyed him on 2012 and then eliminated him from EVO 2013 , I thought he was done as a player... I'm glad to be soooo wrong.

This is deep. Finally someone explaining the advantages that certain characters have over others and not just saying the matchup is 7-3. I use to wonder what players would analyze to determine which characters were high or low tier.

What's an interesting thing in his theory is that he has to perfectly block Akuma's move on wake up in order to make it work. That sounds the hardest.

This is the best Street Fighter video. Every aspect of play described. Approach: research to discover an advantage, a strategy that exploits it, the tactics that support that strategy, and the skills I need to make the tactics work. Strategy: use Shakunetsu, Ultra and life total-based damage advantage to win. Tactics: Advance, jump forward and use air-to-air to keep meter-building fireballs safe and to stay out of the corner to maximize the ground-game advantage. Execution/skills to develop: jump from the perfect distance as defined by tactics. Be able to crouch when he crouches. Beautiful. Whole problem-solving model applies to life in general. Now all that stands between you and victory is hours of practice, a little luck... and whatever your opponent has thought of that you haven't. Which, in this case, wasn't a problem. :)

I think a lot of people will take this information away but will find themselves struggling to get the balance right. Don't forget, the reason why Daigo can afford to analyze a match in real-time with such depth, is because his Ryu is 100% under his control, meaning there is a lot less of his focus aimed at the character itself.

daigo knew at what distance akuma could focus through ryu's fireball and hit him and kept his ryu dancing at that range and threw fireballs just beyond that range. that way he could bait infiltration to fa thru his fireball and whiff punish. that way he could limit infiltration's options in approaching his ryu on the ground and he could concentrate on catching infiltration when he tries to jump in. daigo also changed his fb game and avoided being predictable. infiltration read daigo almost perfectly at evo 2012.

This is why Street Fighter is literally one of the best games around, regardless of genre. The amount of forethought that can be implemented to circumvent difficult or seemingly impossible situations can actually pay off. The game has a depth and presence not really seen elsewhere. I don't stick with games for long, but with Street Fighter I've been playing it since it started. It never grows old, and it always feels good. Love gaming. Love Capcom. Absolutely love Street Fighter.
@FilthEverywhere
@FilthEverywhere 10 лет назад
It has depth without a doubt. However, there are many games of different genres which give the same depth and reward for thought and good play. Starcrat and DotA are a couple of examples. If you've got the bug, check out some other titles, there's a lot of fun to be had with games on that level. Good luck!
@RAZORREVOLUTION1

He's so fucking long winded. Is this a trait in japanese language or what? His lecture put me to sleep but I got the jist of how he approaches matches. Start from the basics. I love how he totally neutralized infiltrations vortex by walking forward and low jabs, simple and genius, he made the matchup look unfair in ryus favor.
