As Indonesian, I surprise if we can use peanut butter to make satay sauce, we call it as “saus kacang” actually it taste sweet and mild spicy, I really appreciate to bring indonesian cuisines in this chapter

Bagi yang tidak tahu siri ini menggunakan bahan2 yang terdapat dalam peti ais selebriti untuk menguji para chef. Jadi resepi asal harus di ubah seadanya mengikut bahan2 yg ada dalam peti ais mereka ketika itu

I almost forgot that they had to use whatever ingridients they could find in the fridge to make Indonesian Satay so the recipe also needed to modified. When the chef add mayonaise, i was like "Where in Indonesia, sate sauce use mayonaise and butter??? And why does he peel that burnt chilli???" 🤣 But whatever skewers that was, it looks delicious though.

The way he acts it's mesmerizing. He can slay any kind of roles he plays. Jin is great as an idol with his talent, hardwork, frenship and with his great personality who inspired millions of people. Bt I hope, He chose acting career too. I really wanna see him act bc it was his dream to be an actor. Imagine, Him being an actor with that irresistible visuals,vocals,his soothing voice when he talks and with his great personality and talent it would be 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥..!

💜💜This show is so interesting! I love learning about different foods, and unique ways of preparing them. I think I was just fascinated to see them cook, so quickly, dishes using just what was on hand. Jin's expressions shows his experience and deep interest in cooking, while Jimin was curious and in awe of the chefs. They both strove to be kind and respectful of the experts. I think was a show that really suited them well. It was so much fun to watch them!👍🤭👏👏👏💜💜

Satay is the easiest dish. Making peanut sauce is also simple and not that complicated. I definitely do it every Eid al-Adha 😅 hatur nuhun 🙏

Sambal is never need fermentation process. It made from freah chili. Idk, I think either translation or the chef got wrong information

The point of indonesian cuisines are the flavour itself bisides the main ingredients. Same case with rendang, it's basically a beef/meat with rendang sauce, but u can still enjoy the sauce only without beef. This is one of reasons why Indonesians need rice when they're eating, bcoz the flavour is strong enough. So you need the rice to reduce the strong smell.

never know someone put coke to make peanut sauce for satay before, also peoples often use peanut butter when making peanut sauce, it just weird for me because the original never use butter

OML the sate was a travesty 🤣🤣🤣 this was fun to watch though 😊 fun fact: in Malaysia we actually do mix the sambal with the peanut sauce! I was surprised that Jin mentioned that! But the sambal we use is not that kind, we use sambal tumis which is a cooked sambal, but it takes a long time to cook it so that it turns dark red and the chilli's oil comes out so ofc there is not enough time to make that in 15 min haha

For sambal : Fry chilies, garlic, shallots, and tomatoes. Then mix everything in blender. Add a little salt and a little sugar. Then mix it again. This what we call "SAMBAL TOMAT"

You can make sambal without shrimp paste. You can use fried anchovy or other fish or fish sauce. Or not use it at all, It's okay.

As indonesian, I don't know that we have a 'fermentation' process in sambal??? where did he hear that? maybe it's another type of sambal, because in Indonesia, there are at least more than 10 kinds of sambal. but if it's a complementary sambal for satay, there's no fermentation process. the most common is of course the peanut sambal. and the others, usually soy sambal & tomato sambal. making soy sambal is very easy, you only need soy sauce, shallots, chilies, salt, sugar & you can add a little lime zest to make it taste fresher (optional). and for tomato sauce, you only need chilies, garlic, shallots, tomatoes, salt and sugar. it's very easy to make.
