I like the way Kim referred to Vinci as tatay being the leader of the group, goes to show that he has the maturity to handle the group. It would be nice to use "tatay" as their moniker to refer to him as their leader, it's very Filipino and unique in a way.

Why we shouldn't support GPOP? Because they don't represent the Filipino brand. Nagkataon lang na sila ay pilipino. They are just hired local artists to represent a pop group. Why filipinos mistake GPOP as PPOP? Because para sa mga Pinoy, basta dugong pinoy, pinoy brand na iyan. Why is GPOP hurting the PPOP brand? Because ang isep ng Pinoy ay generally colonial. Basta gawa ng dayuhan o sponsored ng dayuhan magaling yan. Pag Pinoy ang branding meja meja lang ang quality. Supporting the GPOP brand is hurting the PPOP brand in the long run. It will not grow the PPOP community bagkus nagdudulot pa ito nag pakahatihati ng mga pinoy. Kayo, para kanino kayo susuporta?

Mey mga Pilipino tlaga na di naiintindihan kung baket dapat suportahan naten iyong local talent na PPOP. Just last year, PPOP contributed much to the 1.6Trillion peso new emerging creative industry in the Philippines. Baket issue ito? Kasi iyong nahatak na market share ng PPOP unti unti na naman maibabalik sa dayuhan, KPOP industry thru GPOP. Worst, our local PPOP industry can't even perform in South Korea because lahat ng ways para maharang sila, ginagawa dun. Meanwhile, sa Pinas, labas masok lang sila. Why many pinoy don't get this? Because, kahit GPOP yan, pinoy pa rin yan. Gang duon lang kokote nila. Di nila napapansin iyong malaking kita sana na makukuha ng Pinas kung local groups ang sinusupport nila. Di nila naiintidihan, bawat kita ng PPOP ay mapupunta sa kaban ng bayan, instead na dumiritso na lang dun sa Korea. Tapos, iyong lumalaban para sa sariling atin, i reduced lang sa "crab mentality". "Para kanino kayo susuporta?" Sa groups/artists who gives us genuine happiness, helps us cope with our mental health issues and those na gusto namin. I stan SB19, BGYO, BINI and HORI7ON. Why should we gatekeep the community? May stats na ba re:your claim na GPOP will eventually hurt PPOP in the long run? What actually creates division is this mentality na "we should only support PPOP and ditch GPOP". You are alienating other casuals na gusto lang naman makinig, ienjoy and mag connect thru music: regardless of the label. Music is a universal language that must be enjoyed by everyone.
