The best popular cdramas have low ratings because there are a lot of jealous people rating it low even if they don't watch. Just look at Eternal love tmopb, the best drama ever and has a rating of 6.5/10

It’s sad that jealous people can be so bitter and hateful, these actors, actresses and crew worked very hard. I hope they aren’t negatively impacted by the score, and that there’s another away to see how well the show did.
@@graceh8713 Don't worry nobody takes the douban ratings seriously in China i.e some crappy dramas have higher rating than the good quality ones. What matters are the views. We know eternal love is most watched drama out of all cdramas and has 60+billion views. Novoland pearl eclipse is doing very good as a new drama with 3.8 billion views and is considered a hit drama
To sum it all -- that is why this is a very good and addicting series because it has all the elements that you wanted. Relationship between a Master to disciple Haishi-- Fang Jianming total self control to show the emotion of love for her without compromising his position as a respected commander & Master of Jifeng Pavilion, confidant, best friend and right hand of the Emperor. Not an easy task. Disciple’s feelings (Haishi) towards her Master in that ERA - showing your DEEPEST AFFECTION, LOVE and being brutally honest about is “quite shocking BUT VERY SWEET AT THE SAME TIME. So pure. Haishi is such an empowering woman. Tilan’s resilience , her tenacity- very inspiring indeed, with all the hardships that she encountered with the Emperor-- being diligent, obedient concubine is not an easy task. It got paid in no time. The Emperor is falling hard on her, he is actually a very softhearted, loving caring man. The relationship between Zhouying and Haishi ---- their bond is very strong, happy, naughty and loving EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE NOT RELATED. IT really shows how the Master discipline and rear them excellently. ( Haishi’s love for her Mother and also shows her unconditional love towards her daughter, when Haishi paid a visit with her Shifu to the fishing village, her hometown). Zheliu’s Blindness didn’t interfere nor become a hindrance as the Manageress of Fabric Office. She do not think herself as a handicap and consider/regard herself an asset rhan a liability. Zhouying’s loyalty to Shifu, to the Emperor and his sincerest devotion, being thoughtful, loving 🥰 to Zheliu. The “hidden understanding” just by looking @ each other between Master and disciple. The Jealousy is always the culprit to any relationships. LOVE, DEVOTION, SELF CONTROL, TENACITY, RESILIENCE, KINDNESS, HUMILITY, RESPECT and TRUST ( Good writing) That I can describe WHY NOVOLAND: PEARL ECLIPSE is such a successful series. zhouying always knows tht master love haishi as a matter of fact zhouying ask master no to harsh on her because of love but master try his best to keep it to himself and told him that his love has no defference from him that he love him too as disciple

I feel so bad for Zhouying, having to witness the exchange between Master and Haishi, how awkward and shocking it must have been for him. I feel badly for Master too - he can't be really free to return Haishi's feeling right now, he's burdened with so much. Haishi doesn't understand this yet, she's just acting on her feelings.
The Master must be fighting his feelings for his disciple Haishi. It was frowned upon then just like how it's frowned upon today if a teacher develops feeling for his student. Even though they're probably late 20-early 30s in the show.
Great drama like this one won't be highly appreciated, because so many young dumb people are chasing after young boring actors actress without many talents. William Chan and Yangmi are great actor and actress with a bunch of acting skills, personality ,they are just outstanding!😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😍😍😍😍
I sense that Jiaming and the emperor already had their plan for the fake princess. He didn’t want Haishi to get involve or mess it up. Or else why would the emperor tried to locate all his lost relatives? By doing this he can clean up the traitors and the master mine.

I feel like what Shifu said to Haishi growing up is going to come back and bite him in the rear, he's being way too reluctant and taking too much of a back seat when Haishi is taken from him...he'll realize he waited too long to speak up. She's made it abundantly clear that her heart belongs to him, sigh.

Master, I can smell jealousy from you, yeah you have to lose something to understand its value, so good for you master and good luck with your new rival, Youdu. The way how Haishi called master by his name "Fang Jianming", damn girl, that was intense. Yeah you can tell Haishi was rude to smash the hairpin that master gave, but sorry guys she needs to be rude like that to him, so he will feel frustrated and will probably break out and confess. I like how Zhuoying always gives a reality check to master about things regarding master and Haishi and then master always telling him to get lost, it's so funny. I also like how Haishi called master out for not trusting her enough, I understand that he just wanna protect her and that's why he doesn't want her to be involved in any secret work and get herself into possible trouble, but he deserves that earful from her. I could feel the tension between master and Haishi, I feel nervous whenever i see them now, they are like a ticking bomb, don't know at what point they will explode
Shifu is getting on my nerves FFS. No matter what his intentions are, he should communicate them to Haishi to avoid upset and misunderstanding. Also I know that he does not like the Princess but she visited him so he should be courteous and see her. Haishi did the civilised thing and spent time with the Princess. Haishi cannot do anything right in the eyes of Shifu, he always seem to belittle her and this has been evident from the earlier episodes. I cannot wait for her identity to be exposed and becomes consort to the King. I hate the king but even he has recognised the value of Haishi even though he had not said it out loud. Shifu does not deserve Haishi’s love.
Youdu is looking so handsome ❤️I know Jianming was jealous when he saw them together..🤭 Jianming and Haishi they two are so stubborn😂.... perfect couple ❤️
I love how Haishi threw down the hair pin just to make her point and when she called him by his name it makes me skip a beat 😂 she believes in herself and her love even though gets rejected every time. Like always Yang Mi performance never disappoint ! After Eternal Love , Legend of Fuyao and now this ❤️ her
