2019 was a special year in Japan bc it is the first year in the Reiwa era and the last year in the 2010s. Maybe that explains why the seiyuu community had waves of marriage announcements in 2019?

Lol Mana is a cute nickname, I wonder since he calls her ‘Mana,’ does she addressed him as ‘Ryō’ or somewhere along those lines. It’s so funny how the staff plays out the skit so well, although I think some of the reporters have changed their titles from before lol

The kanji character for Mana (愛) in her name means love, -so I'd imagine him calling her "my love" and gosh this is too wholesome for the world.- And I wonder too... but I feel like Osaka will likely not comment on it. For his radio program co-hosted w/ Hanae Natsuki, Hanae was way more excited and revealed more of the announcement details for him. -So unless Hanae somehow knows and accidentally blurts it out in their program, and that somehow makes it through editing,- it's really all up to our imagination... Ryo is nice. Personally, I'd like to think it's either like how Ono Yuuki refers to him as Ryo-chin, or how Matsuoka calls him Ryota -like he's in Matsuoka's harem.- (Jokes aside it's because they are good friends)

Iirc the few RAW sources I found for that episode all are in quite low resolution, which would be fine for other radios but you just have to see how hilarious it is with the video...

This was quite entertaining, and I'm happy for the newlyweds. It just made me a bit sad with the first 2 questions and the assumptions underneath them. Asking about the apron is assuming she is the one cooking all the time. Food praised by husband - putting the pressure on her to do the cooking, and have to make food that he finds most worthy Just sad that there are still so many traditional standards placed upon Japanese wives :( hope that it may change

I understand where you're coming from, and I don't think the roots of this issue only pertains to Japan. Imho shouldn't speculate too much from this "interview," since it was done just for fun. The questions asked and Nu-san's answers were definitely on the more general side iykwim.

You just think too much. This is normal questions. As an Asian women, I hate how Western feminists force their view and idea on us. We are perfectly fine and happy with cooking good meals for our husband and children. It is our happiness cooking for the ones we love. We can both do that and have a career too. The Western women who don't cook and let their children eat take-out and fast-food all the time should be the ones that are frowned upon.

@@miyako1909 If you are happy, then that is fine. There is nothing with living your life that way. For your last statement about letting children eat takeout and fast food, that is not good I agree. But it should be both parents (husband and wife) that should be frowned upon to let their children eat that way. I don't think it's fair to only blame the mother. Also, I am glad you are happy with that lifestyle. But I don't think you can speak on behalf of all Japanese women and say they all like to live that way as well. Studies say the double standard of wanting a career but also expected to do all the housework makes young women not want to get married anymore.
