Please do your research. Both Gabi parents are Brazilians. How can she be half German?? She was born and grew up in Brazil, just like her parents and grand parents. She is descendent of Germans who immigrated to Brazil more than 150 years ago. She's from the south of Brazil and there are many people who are descendants of Germans, like the supermodel Gisele Bundchen. In Brazil many people are descendents of people from other places, that doesn't make us half anything. We Brazilians blackswan fans are getting tired of people calling Gabi German just because she is white. Brazilians are from every race. Gabi never called herself German so I don't understand why people insist in calling her German. She has never been to Germany, she doesn't speak German, she doesn't call herself German, her parents are not from Germany. She is Brazilian.
@@MooYT_ Because non-Brazilians, specially people from Europe, North America, Asia can't wrap their heads around the fact that a person who looks like Gabi is Brazilian. They think Brazilian is a race and every Brazilian have to have darker skin, otherwise they are not actually Brazilian. The BBC is British media. You are researching in English. Gabi company also wants to sell her as a German idol because it's much more prestigious to have a European member in their group than someone from Latin America.
@@user-nz6wg2ju4m where did you get the information that Gabi has dual citizenship? She is just descendent of Germans, many Brazilians are descendents of immigrants. Her family is in Brazil for probably 5 or 6 generations, since most Germans started immigrating to Brazil around 1830. I'm Brazilian and did some research.

@@andyandys5356 Brazil is her country. She was not just "born" in Brazil. She has no connection with Germany apart from her ancestors. Germans immigration in Brazil is not recent. Her family is in Brazil since mid 1800 at least. I don't understand why people insist in calling Gabi German.
@@JLuccan just another information, a video was posted this week of the girls on the channel Style runaway, and the interviewer ask them to say their full names. Gabi has 2 surnames like all brazilians, one german origin from mother, and the other is italian origin from father. so she also has italian ancestors. this is why most brazilian just call ourselves brazilians, because it's a very mixed country.
Parei o vídeo quando ele disse que Gabi é alemã. Os pais são brasileiros, ela nasceu e cresceu no Brasil. Nem falar alemão fala. Se for levar em conta um antepassado distante todo brasileiro deveria ser chamado de português.
