By gossip one brother killed another and even though the truth was eventually known , It was too late and lots of regrets , hate and rancor was achieved including Deaths of so many people 😭💔

Me too. I wish Shen Deiyi was a guy. You could see how reluctant the Emperor was when he suggested that the throne be passed to her before they knew her identity and the fact that he even wanted his pregnant sister in law to die made me question when he was going on about being led by rumors. Okay so if that's the case why should the wife and innocent child die? He just wanted the throne.

This should have changed the emperor to allow girls to go to school in his own reign, it would have been a good name to him also, I guess when the 2nd son takes over, he will allow girls to go to school...

I liked this drama a lot. I have seen our main cast in a few dramas already and seeing them altogether in this made me happy. The ending of this was beautifully written. I loved that through it all they stayed friends. The only thing that bothered me was yiyi getting kicked out of the school and her official position being taken away. She literally helped save the country from invaders, solved multiple high profile crimes, and saved the emperor from being forced to abdicate by his own son. While her crime of lying about her gender was big, her other contributions did 100x more than the offense. Whatever, it's a cdrama. Unfortunately there will always be this when there is an emperor - their being offended is 1000x greater importance than the contributions of loyal people and talents. Instead of having two amazing ministers with exemplary talent and brains, the emperor got neither 💁‍♀️

In several ancient societies being caught pretending to be a man would mean death. This was usually to prevent them from becoming both arrogant and undesirable as a marriage partner. Here the Emperor was able to quickly assess the pros and cons of killing to keeping her alive and simply stripping away all, or some of, her merits. For if he killed her he realized that he would lose both of his sons, not just the rebellious one, along with other three top students as they were closely bonded at that point. However, by keeping her alive his youngest son now has friend and advisor to aid him when he struggles. Also, he knows that they will look after the common folk and had some people he could rely on if he felt something was off in his court. That said she still needed to be punished so he did what he felt was best for all involved.

To be honest, I think Yiyi would have preferred it! If she had titles she couldn't open her restaurant so successfully. Remember, she neither wanted fame or titles which she fights the whole time in school. ( I do wish she would have graduated or had a reward). The consolation prize? As your last sentence says, the stupid ungrateful emperor got neither of the brilliant students. 😄 None of the 5 Scholars took any position. So the joke is on him. I wonder though... when the Crown Prince takes over.... will the 5 Scholars return?🥰🦊🦋

What a beautiful ending. I wished the new crown prince had a girl too. He has such a kind heart. I loved all of the students at the school. I even got a kick out of the twins boys great actors. Loved the teachers. I learned a lot by the virtues of the school teachings. Thank you for the English subs. Love to all of the actors, actresses, writers, producers and production. Thank you for the comedy level. I laughed in so many episodes my stomach hurt.. The main actress is a favorite of mine.. Love ❤️

What an entertaining drama of youth, adventure, romance, loyalty & friendship for life. They all got the desires of their heart. Although second prince didn't get to propose to the girl he likes, he became the crown prince & future emperor. The combative duo Yiyi & Zian have very good chemistry & a flavorful business. Tangtang got a well refined wife to be like his dream girl Dieyi while Dugu found & got his long lost Ruo. A very happy ending for all! Thank you Subbers, producer, director, scriptwriter & a very handsome cast of characters.

I was pleasantly surprised with this drama. I stumbled upon it thinking I was just going to watch a drama that was relaxing to watch. I wasn't trying to find anything special. This drama turned out to be so much more then I thought from the first few episodes. I loved all the characters and the plot was really good. I ended up binge watching this drama in 2 days bc of it haha. I'd recommend this drama to people. Some say it's like hwarang and skks mixed.....yes it's similar in ways but there is so much more to it and it stands on it's own. Even though this kind of storyline where girl hides her identity and goes to a all boys school happens a lot. This one stood out for me. I really enjoyed this and very thankful I stumbled upon this drama. Sorry for the long comment here haha. I am just really happy about this drama. I wasn't sure when I first started bc I saw some put it down but I'm glad I did not listen to them.

Idk how to feel now that this show is over, I really think it taken 1st place in my favorite shows. I love shows where the girls dress up as a man and show off that they can do things men can do and maybe even do it 10x better. Especially in this time period. The accomplishments they had from this show was so satisfying and I was crying even at just the thought that maybe one of them would get hurt. This show really brought out my emotions. The scene where the crown prince was going to try to take over, you could really feel the tension. A wonderful shows.

Young actors in this drama did a great job. Caesar Wu looks so beautiful in historical costumes with that styling. It would be a sin that he doesn't play historical roles. Definitely one of the most beautiful actors whose acting is always enjoy to watch. Wang Yuwen acting was naturally and cheerful she played her role great. I watched before Liu Yichang and he is really interesting and talented actor. He can just stand by and everyone will say wow😂😂😂, but I hope that he will achieve a lot more. Born to be a leader 🤩. Very, very pleasant surprise is Xie Binbin, so funny, acting like that he is enjoying every minute of it. So relaxed and funny. Story is ok, the ending is great😍! I recommend this drama to everybody who needs to watch something that will make your days more fun and better!!!

The emperor would have just let her be the first female student in history since she has contributed and sacrificed alot. I disagree. The story focused on growth and grabbing the future and on letting the past go (like Han and DeiYi). Life goes on. It's so unexpectedly poignant. I loved every episode.

Acabo de terminar de ver esta historia, muy linda, muy bien hecha Caeser Wu actuó hermoso como es el, un personaje distinto al querido general Y me encantó la actuación Liu Tu Chang (Dugu), de Xie Binbin (Tang Tang) y de Que Pei Con (príncipe) En cuanto Uvin Wang (Yiyi) es muy buena actriz pero soy fan de Tang Min y de su química con Caeser Wu Xi Ze y la verdad me faltó esa sensación en la pareja protagónica
