▶【Synopsis】In late Tang Dynasty, a girl called Chuchu had been dreaming of being a coroner so she went to take the coroner exam in Chang'an. She met Lord Anjun Xiao Jinyu who was famous for solving crime puzzles. Then she worked as his partner and they revealed lots of mysterious cases. The origin of Chuchu shocked many powers and cracked the balance between them. Thus the power battle began. With cases exposed one after another, Chuchu and Xiao Jinyu gradually resolved the world-shaking case that lasted for 18 years. After that, they got married and Chuchu even got approved by the emperor and attained the title of Imperial Coroner. Finally, she finally fulfilled her dream.

For new viewers! I just finished this phenomenal drama series & came back to tell you its absolutely marvelous! 1. Very satisfying ending! 2. No draggy episodes to skip! Addictive! 3. No jealous, vindictive 2nd leads! 4. Female lead is Smart and cute~ not childish, whiny and dumb! 5. No misunderstandings that drag on for several episodes! 6. Most elders are sharp, smart, and open-minded! 7. Minimal “Palace Intrigue”~ YAAH! Would Love To Have Season 2 with same cast if possible! Thank You To Cast & Crew! Shoutout to English Translators! After watching the whole series, I have to say this drama has everything. From concrete and logical plots, fast paced, knowledgeable leads, great acting, cute romance, crime solving and attention to details. The show has it all. What impressed me the most is really the attention to details. Each scene is carefully crafted to give viewers hints to the story. Even the scene which i originally thought unrelated to the story where the prince's teacher is feeding fishes, serves as a hint to the true identity of the teacher. Really a show of excellent quality that is hard to come by these days

I agree. This is a good drama. Non toxic, both male and female are smart, seconds leads are good too. The only thing wrong is that it should have one episode longer. The end was a tat abrupt.

Ever since finishing this drama like a week ago, I was in a chinese drama slump, unable to find any chinese period dramas with good mysteries AND romance that could match the greatness of this drama - so I came back to rewatch it. The attention to detail really is impeccable in this drama and while I crave more interactions between the lead couple, honestly, this is fine, they're so CUTE!

The good thing about Chinese dramas or any tv show is that they will always have Chinese subtitles no matter what because not every Chinese person speaks the Mandarin dialect. I can actually learn Chinese while watching dramas. Now I can tell my mom I’m learning Chinese when I’m actually watching a drama.

Guys, this drama is really good. It's definitely worth watching! The female lead is not annoying. She is knowledgable and funny and the most important point is that she does not pretend being a man. The male lead is very handsome and not rude like in other dramas:)

No love triangles and only one misunderstanding. It’s because Chu Chu promised to not tell anyone about the stone pendant, which was given to her by her mentor, Sir Witch Doctor (who’s actually Xiao Jinyu and Xiao Jinli’s father in hiding) until the right moment comes. Only then can the misunderstanding be gone.

This is such a master piece.i loved every bit of the story,how characters grow esp eunuch qin he did justice to his role By making us viewers to hate him.the bromance is on point no unnecessary mis understanding both the main and second lead couples support each other the dramma value talent and the emperor isn't evil but discerning.i can't explain more just like jinli 😂😂😂😂but it's amust watch dramma i recommend it.

Love this script and the production even though it looked like low-budget. The cast are well selected for the roles and played their roles really well. I have watched past 10 episodes and this drama is really good, well grounded, within expectations, welcomed the proper filming (without slow-mos which are quite common these days in cdramaland). I root for these actors, they are polishing their skills and will have good future if they continue to expand and explore more roles to enhance their skills without hesitation. MLs and FLs are really adorable, so lovable! Hope the progress of this drama is just as exciting as the 1st 10 episodes; hope the script-writer don't become "lazy" and add unnecessary 'dramas' in order to prolong the drama. 我剛在別處看完36 集的大陸劇集，很好看。但它只有中文字幕。其劇情懸疑丶緊張丶鬥智丶間中也有幽默和輕鬆丶愛情等精彩場面。歌也很好聽；大結局的結尾歌之後，還加插了十多秒的卡通短片，頗有趣丶幽默；大家也不要錯過最結尾歌後的部分卡通呀。現在我才找到這裡來也有此劇集正在播放中，它有中丶英文字幕，方便了很多年輕觀眾呢，謝謝騰讯视频 (Tencent Video)! 我的女兒只懂英文，也許喜歡看看吧。我推薦此劇集。

Honest review, it's kind of a good start. I like it apart from the fast paced subs. I usually watch bl's but I got to give this a try. The leads are handsome and the girl is beautiful. I look forward to further episodes hoping they'll be aesthetically good as this has. 💜💜💖

Dies ist definitiv eines meiner liebsten Dramen! Ich sehe es jetzt - glaube ich - zum 5ten mal und finde es immer noch klasse! Kann es auch nur wärmstens empfehlen! Und der Chefeunuch ist der unheimlichste Typ Bösewicht, den ich je in einem Drama gesehen habe! Der Darsteller verkörpert ihn wirklich vortrefflich. So wie auch alle anderen Darsteller! Das einzige, was ich anders haben wollte, wäre der Schluß der letzten Folge. Das hätte ich mir ausführlicher gewünscht. 😅
