I always thought that art was not for me. After watching your videos, I throw away that idea. Now, I grab my pencils and watercolors without fear but joy. Thank you Mr. Shibasaki
I somewhat agree, though never thought it wasn't for me. I've always been interested to learn, but so many artists are showcasing really complex work, and they talk about their old work and sometimes show it and say how bad it is, but it's better than I could ever hope to achieve, so I get discouraged. I've actually started getting into sketching and watercolours after seeing Shibasaki. Not saying he's bad, his work is beautiful, but it's done in such a way that I can look and understand how he might make such a painting, so then I want to try myself.
Your videos are really helpful in understanding the light/shadow dynamic! I've been drawing for years, but always struggled with this. I wish someone had taught it to me in such a simple way!! :D
Thank you! I really like the way you sketch and explain the basic shapes beforehand, and then explain the different kinds of brush strokes as well as focusing on the use of the colors. Beautiful! 😸👏💕
I agree with comments below - have never painted until your videos - you are such a great teacher Mr. Shibasaki. After following your tutorial for a simple tree, I thought I'd follow some other people's, but my tree turned out badly. Only with you, can I paint! I'm so proud of my efforts and so inspired by your 'magic' method.
This video has changed my life for painting trees with watercolor - THANK YOU Shibasaki-san!!! Does anyone else have a yellow background on the CC text (which is white)? The video itself is already awesome for learning but would be great too if I could know what Shibasaki-san is saying. Thanks to anyone who may be able to advise me. God bless!
Hello Mr. Shibasaki! I love how you simplify the approach by using shapes like the triangles and more. This can be also applied to other mediums in painting like oils too. again, thank you so much for these tutorials, they are so helpful!
Hi Mr.Shibasaki.I want to ask you, when you draw the first leaves and then moved to another one by changing the colour, did you wait until it dried or still on wet ? If you're waiting it until it dry, please type "After ... Minute(s)".Thank you very much Mr.Shibasaki, you're a jenius, sorry if my English language is bad 🙏
Hello Mr. Shibasaki. Thank you for showing us your art🙏! I love watching your videos and it is wonderful to learn from you! May i ask what brand of coloures do you use? They look very smooth and are very intensive. Best regards from Vienna:-)
@Andrea Taibel Shibasaki-sensei uses Holbein (the top maker of painting in Japan) Transparent Watercolors HWC 24 Colors Set. The list of colors on Shibasaki-sensei’s palette appears in about 10 minutes and 14 seconds of this video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YE9m37im4wo.html

I don't have any of the promised English substitles on my screen! The same is true for all your other videos that promise translation. Is there something wrong with my computer? I KNOW that I could learn a lot from your work. It looks wonderful.
