I feel like he's saying this because he knows what it feels like to be ignored. All of them know that feeling, but Namjoon and Yoongi especially. They were ignored, mistreated, scammed and rejected by the underground hip-hop community- a community they were passionate about. And it's not like the K-pop community had a warm welcome in store, either. Bang Si hyuk, also being an artist, was critisised for letting BTS debut. So they all know the burden and pain of being ignored, well. This speech was not only directed towards idols and idol groups, but also musicians/artists in general. I think it was very outspoken of him to address this issue in today's music/art industry. Edit: A leader should always use their platform to spread awareness and word about injustice in society.

RM is so respectable ... he is such a fluent speaker but is able to portray the emotions needed to deliver this speech with confidence instead of just saying recycled words god his intelligence is so sexy

what I also love about BTS is that they always wish the best for all the artists. namjoon even talked about other artists still working hard in shadow, unseen,ignored and nj said that he hopes their hardworks will pay off. They are so humble. Also they wish that rookies won't experience what bts went through in the past years. Its bc bts and armys have already suffered a lot of hardships and difficulties and we know how it feels. I really do hope cheating,saboting, maipulating,etc. won't continue. I hope 2020 will be a better year!

Its rare seeing artist winning speech being so well talk like Namjoon did. Most of them would only say "thank you we'll work hard " etc. Everything BTS do or say are always different and thats why they deserve everything. #Armyforever Also I saw some comments about the artists not paying respect to BTS ..kind of agree with that because most of them are friends too..so the more they could do is at least paying attention to their senior (exept nuest) but mostly as FRIENDS . i might be a little late but since i saw several comments regarding other idols' 'plain' reaction, i want to give an answer about this. bts is a very very very huge group and they had the chance to say what they want to say and that's an advantage. rm's speech is completely amazing here. the reason why most idols didn't give any reaction is because this is quite a sensitive issue to talk about publicly esspecially when ure not a huge artist. MANY had tried to say it out loud but since they're small, didn't have the recognization, they ended up getting sued and stuff. this is why other idols didn't give him a damn reaction because they didn't want to cause a chaos and issue. tbh i bet everyone wanted to stand up and give them standing ovation but they couldn't. as you can see, gidle was paying so much attention. they clapped for him quietly. this is because gidle themselves are facing some difficulties. if you pay attention to every groups, you can see that they're lowkey looking at each other. they talked with each other abt his speech. pls dont say something bad about their reaction. its not like they're ignorant or selfish or rude. but the topic joon was talking about is sensitive and im proud of him for being able to point this out. + jin talked about sajaegi on mama 2019 as well.

I remember that interview with wonho I'm not a fan of their group but I appreciate how he actually took Rm's speech into heart. I wish the new idol generation will actually learn to value music, and that they're actually in for the music not just because the company wants them to earn $$$. Remember BTS always emphasizes that music is their passion. You can feel the sincerity and love for their craft hence Army's are growing and will always there to support them. It's not all about visuals, or who can dance well, these groups can do that. BTS however can truly inspire and connect with people in so many levels.

I just realized... these are the same artists except rookies like G-Idle who had more screentime than BTS on award shows way back BTS wasn't that big, but look how the tables have turned now. BTS is bigger than them now. The only difference is that BTS cheered and showed respect for those artists while the artists (some... most, actually) now sitting on their seats seem bored and uninterested.

Coming back here to say that BTS's whole career is such a beautiful story.. They were ignored, disrespected, called names, and below everyone.. and now they're bagging awards left and right, are grammy nominated, worldwide suoerstars, and have still kept their genuine respect towards everyone except those who did them wrong. It's amazing. I hope they keep winning and get every record possible before the end. They will be history and armys will make sure they are not forgotten.

I feel like they got ignored by all the idols throughout the show (except twice) during there performance half of them didn’t even clap at the end. You can’t say they were tired cuz if u had enough energy to walk back to your seat then you can have enough to clap for them. I just find whoever seemed like they were ignoring them rude. They are giving amazing and inspirational speeches but it’s like they get completely ignored but idk it’s just my point of view.

You can never make the "they're tired" excuse for some of these artists because basically clapping won't lose you too much energy and it doesn't seem like their hands are 3kg each that would make this excuse valid. There is also one group that i kept on noticing on every reaction videos that are always "meh" whenever bts are on stage (either performing or accepting an award).
