I agree with kenmochi here. Ai-chan really is a pioneer not just because she was the first but also the one that shows what you can do with vtubing. She went from making short funny video, skits, to streaming, make songs, held offline concerts and events, appear in commercials, and bring vtuber into mainstream market, basically paved the clear career paths for anyone who come after her. The amount of disrespect people giving her just cause that one incident really amount to nothing compared to ton of accomplishment she did for this whole industry. She is an icon and legend that deserve the most respect.
Not just that, but he rightfully recognises that she's *still* a pioneer. She's the biggest Vtuber on tiktok and was one of the first to successfully use RU-vid shorts. She was the first JP Vtuber to officially collab with Vshojo. The first to "tour" America. She hosted the first Vtuber Fall Guys tournament, and there's even an official Kizuna Ai skin. She's the best Vtuber dancer and her tech is always impressive, allowing us to see just how good she is at dancing. She's also a DJ who has streamed some of her sets. They weren't bad at all. Even in the age of livestreaming Vtubers, she still redefines what is possible. Truly a pioneer!

Non-chan was bussy at the time, wrapping up her other job with her VA agency (not her vtuber/Kizuna Ai agency) since she wanted to quit and solely focussing on her Kizuna Ai activites. People took it the wrong way as she quitting Active8/Kizuna Ai and false rumour of her being replace by other VA spread around like wildfire which give a massive hit to her popularity. Edit : she is fine now tho and starting to get her momentum back as Kizuna Ai/Non-chan with her day1 team have an entirely new agency for themselves only, to do whatever they want.
Male and Female vtubers have been interracting for a long time since the days of the 4 gods, and 1 of them was a guy. Hololive is not representative of most vtubers, in fact there are less than 60 of them compared to the thousands of independent vtubers, and even within Hololive Matsuri has been doing collabs with males since her debut. So no,it was not nijisanji that made it "acceptable", in the community as a whole this is the norm, not the exception.
@@authenticinari-fox8164 In the past it was very difficult for Hololive and Holostars to Collab, Matsuri was pretty much the only one doing thoses types of collabs at the time, and I think I remember Aqua reveling against the company because of the lack of collabs between the two sides, Nijisanji had male + female collabs since I can remember, and even if they weren't the first to do them they definetly helped a lot in making it look okay for a lot of the more jealous fans that were the reason why it has such a hassle to do those streams in the first place, specially with Hololive since they sell themselves as idols and not just regular streamers, unlike Nijisanji that were more casual about it.

AI's model is really cool also what Kenmochi did is so true. I like how niji normalized interactions between vtubers regardless of genders. Thinking about vtubers from the same company not really interacting with each other and more of being an individual seems kinda sad
That is entirely up for the vtubers tho. Even withing nijisanji, there are some who rarely interact with others or just with their own circle of friend they clicked with.
well, its because the culture in jp. Idol is looked to be a pure person. Thats why they want their idol interaction to be limited to just them, the viewer, and other idol with same gender.... And if those barrier is breached, they may be canceled as a person... which is sad... But since nijisanji just a group of entertainers, not idol, they kinda free to do anything...
I feel like this video pushes a strange narrative. Kizuna Ai of all people should know that what really pushes male and female interractions and the vtubers and their audiences, not nijsanji. Plenty of male and female vtubers interract with eachother even back 4 years ago in Kizuna Aid heyday, and Hololive Matsuri also pushes collabs with male vtubers for years now. This transcends being just part of a company, it had to do with personal preference and audience distribution.
@@Ortagonation a majority of vtubers are not idols though. I know this is en speaking forum and english speakers mostly know hololibe, but Hololive is literally less than 1% of total vtubers, yet were generalizing the 99% by the 1% popular, which is wrong imo.
@@ChronicalV she is doing well, she is now one again, and I believe she has a big control on her content now. Two of her counterparts made a separate channel but one left thus leaving Love-chan being the only other Ai left which now has her own model.

Kizuna Ai has different tracking program for her arms, hair, face, and body. The only way she can move that way is because the budget only focuses on her. Although Nijisanji might not be on that level, their 3D is probably sooo much better than others so far
it depends on what way Nijisanji uses each tech for their 3D liver streams. For example, they can make use of decent motion tracking equipment for those wanting more performances in their 3D streams. If its something like Tournaments, Collabs, solo streams, its all up to them to use VR technology, Motion Capture(Kenmochi model hasn't recieved that much updates) or they use the normal 3D motion tracking. Its kinda complicated, since Shachou's 3D was pretty much an expensive.

I'm pretty sure it's just as expensive since their pumping out lots of 3D recently while still having a budget to do the VR concert
@@carolinedelafuente7251 the interesting thing about the differences of both companies 3D is that with niji they usually return to the 2D Version since 3D motion tracking(which people like Ange can use privately) is more of an all use method rather than the more sophisticated ones Nijisanji uses in any Studio. Meanwhile Ai-chan's tech is from a much older but stable 3D motion set, which is expensive but is usable for one person, and it just happens to be a difficult one to pull off.

Who else got randomly recommended Kizuna-Ai clips? It's nostalgic, after the the first era of Vtubers (the 4 gods) in 2017~2018 I got out of the loop and kinda forgot about the concept... Until the Hololive boom in 2020, I haven't tried to watch Kizuna Ai again so clips like this are very nostalgic, like casually encountering an old friend from school on the street.
I'm so old I remember Max Headroom on the TV back in the day. So old they had to fake the computer parts in the show. lol Now anyone can do it from home.
I'm a big fan of nijisanji but dai-senpai of kizuna ai is literally the reason why everything get introduced into worldwide since mostly japan only limited into niconico until 2019.

the last one got it 1-2 weeks after release, (happy trigger's cover also needed a few weeks iirc), its probably done by Kenmochi/someone involved with him (staff/friends), sending tl to him as a random fan would be a bit difficult, its also "summer break" he was pretty busy (nijinoon, koshien commentary, new costume, birthday, nijibara....) so it might take longer time than usually

"Before, vtubers were more about the individual." I have always preferred collabs or group channels when it comes to personality driven content like livestreaming. People joking and riffing together can help feel more natural as well as more entertaining. Game grumps come to mind.
Back then I did see Ai san everywhr (Really everywhr... It's like a spam on my YT when I didn't even know what VTuber was back then) & I wasn't interested in her at all & I found her annoying at 1st, but as time goes on & I see her again I didn't feel tht way anymore & now I find her very adorable~~ Now, VTuber is booming & I love a lot of them from Nijisanji to Holostars to VirtualReal (China's VTubers). It's not like I'm with them for a long time, but getting to know them gives me life! They're my stress reliever at times.
minor correction but she is still voiced by the original; that was a false rumor or at the very least temporary since non-chan was busy. Since last year only the OG is voicing on both channels.

I'm generally more into the Hololive fandom, but honestly, Nijisanji just seems like the better, less strict company. I was sad to see Coco go, but I hope the freedom she probably has now is for the best. Maybe one day we'll Know, SOmehow, of her other veNtures.
Well Hololive IS an Idol entertainment agency. They will have naturally more restrictions and an agenda (but still more free as compared to the traditional Idol agency). Back then Hololive has lesser restrictions when they were small but when they blew to popularity, comes with it is more responsibility, their management is "better safe than sorry" especially with the controversies they had in the past. Nijisanji on the other hand is more freer because they are simply a Vtuber talent agency, their talent's contents are diverse and doesn't really follow any specific agenda other than to simply entertain people the way they want and also develop creative freedom. Their original model is even to hire people with now experience whatsoever and use the Vtuber medium to develop their talent for streaming and content creation. But now that Vtubers became so popular and Hololive took a large chunk of the EN audience, sadly in order to compete they are now also moving into hiring people with experience or considerable know how in order to capture an audience which is the safe route. But in KR and ID they still do follow the minimal requirements for hiring talents to give ordinary people the chance to become a Vtuber (but also in return they also have to work hard to give back to the company).
like Ai said there's people that "i don't like male vtubers", i'm usually one of those, but this video was funny enough that i almost didn't notice 1 of them is a male vtuber lol anything to watch Ai-chan interacting with others :D
Oh no another one... That's outdated info bud, all the Ai clones (excluding Kizuna AI China) have either left or are on their own individual Vtuber channels now. Kizuna Ai's old company Upd8/Activ8 Also went bankrupt and now Kizuna AI is owned by Kizuna Ai Inc. who is also managed by Kizuna AI's VA herself (Nozomi Kasuga). This is the original one; since April/May of last year she is the only one on her Ai gaming and main channel; her clones got their own channel and a complete make-over. Ai pee retired only Love chan remains
People be still believing misinformation, and that one video from back then (thankfully it doesn't exist anymore), confirming nothing didn't really help Kizuna Ai's situation.
