[ENG] Why I decided to boycott SDC2 and what does Yang Kai think about Yibo 王一博 as their Captain 

Yixing, Wallace, Jackson and Yibo set the standard high as captains. I love how they become so close with their team and became a family to the point that every elimination round your heart breaks for each captain. Sdc s4 must have these 4 amazing people to be the captains AGAIN!!!

I’m a strong believer in the saying “ if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it”... SDC3 was a huge success “ in my opinion” because of the captains ( I watched because of Yibo, then grew to love the other guys). I see no reason why any of them should be replaced if their schedule fits.

Season 3 Captains were all current top tier stars who knew each other well. The star power was insane, they're all still at the peak of their careers, they knew there was no way SDC3 wouldn't be the No. 1 show in China. The age spread made them all experts in different ways. They had a winning formula right at the start.

To be honest I want SDC3 all 4 captains to come back to the SDC4 because like you said whenever they are together they are in a good mood and make the audience laugh with them and smiles with them. Also SDC3 all 4 captains get along well with their team, understand and kind to their teams members and get along well with other teams members too. I really like all 4 captains from SDC3 to come back. They are the best captains. Their personality is very good, kind, funny and respect each other and their team members and other team members too. I watched sdc3 initially because of Yibo, but I grew to love all the other captains too. I can feel the brotherhood between them and the respect that they gave to the contestants. Although I didn't watch the two previous seasons, I did saw some tidbits, but I just don't get the same feel between the captains.

I also really liked all four captains of SDC3 and how they treated the dancers. Each captain respected their team so much and didn't make the show more competitive or tense than it had to be. I especially liked Jackson's attitude and how he always told his team to enjoy themselves and not stress about the results. I honestly just want all four of them to return for next season haha but I know that won't happen. I just hope that the next season will have a good captain lineup and surpass this season!

I watched SDC3 because of Yibo and I don't regret any of those long hours I spent, totally worth it. That's why I'm really crossing fingers that he will come back for sdc4. Haven't checked previous seasons bcz I'm busy rewarching my favorite parts of sdc3. I love seeing Yibo happy and learning new things that he is passionate about and when he dances he is able to do that. So fingers crossed💚💚

I will happily watch another season with WYB as a captain, and if the other captains are horrible, I will delight in watching him be completely savage towards them. He respects all the dancers so much that I can't see him tolerating a captain really being rude to them. As for the other S3 captains, the only one I can see doing another series is Wallace. I feel like Lay and Jackson are just way too busy with other endeavors-not that Wang Yibo isn't, of course! Also really like your interaction videos, not that the subs aren't great too!!

Honestly, I started watching because of Yibo only. I love the camaraderie between the captains of SDC3, so genuine and heartwarming. I haven’t been able to watch back seasons of this show simply due to lack of time. Yibo has a whole range of work/content for me to enjoy and that occupies more than enough of my available time. I’d be surprised if he returns to SDC as a captain and not in another role, I’m guessing it would depend on his schedule as it’s getting more and more hectic. Whatever he decides to do, I’ll support it. It would be nice to have all 4 of them return in that role however I’m thinking I’d like to see him cultivate friendships with new people too.

I've watched season 3 because of Yibo and Jackson but fall in love with everyone! yixing, wallace and the dancers too haha. This season is really fun too watch and i hope all the captain will be back in season 4😁

Agreed SDC3 is the best because the 4 team captains have great chemistry together. Hope to see half of SDC3 captains come back for the next season. The SDC3 captains are respectful and friendly to all dancers.

Totally agree with you on Vanness attitude. That was rude. I think in SDC, the captains (Yibo, Jackson and Lay) are young and trained in South Korea, where respect for the older gen is really emphasised. You can see how respecful they are towards the older captain, Wallace, I think, and towards other dancers too. The captains in SDC3 really showed how appreciative they r of these dancers' talent.

I saw SDC3 cause Yibo. I thought he just had a beautiful face and introverted personality, but he's a really talented dancer. He fulfills the qualities of a captain and he can prove it till the end

I've known Jackson Wang for years becauzd of watching Kpop, I'm not his fan but I respect him. I became a big fan of Yibo because of TU, and started watching all of his performances.I saw all the different sides of wang yibo in SDC3, my respect for him grew stronger. he finally showed his talents. All the captains from season 3 have good chemistry.

I definitely feel you... because I also even noticed the proper teamwork of all captains of Season 1 and Season 2. But in the case of Season 3, it was totally different... all 4 captains were happy to be with each other and the way they treated their team members was really remarkable... I still remember how they were depressed when they had to eliminate their team members... So tbh I really want all 4 captains of Season 3 to make a return in Season 4. Yibo, Jackson, Lay, Wallace they are really the best captains :)

I think the "Let's Chat" helped grow the Captains' bonds, however they also knew each other as well, outside of SDC3. i haven't watched any of the other seasons of SDC. I agree though the the Captains are supposed to be mentors and not know it alls. Have respect for everyone. This was a great chat. I hope you have more of these..Maybe in future you can have a panel discussion?💚

i think vaness just came from a different era of reality tv judges and isn't able to adapt to what viewers like to see now. it's probably just a character he was asked to play. like, the simon cowell type of character that's super rude, super high and mighty, arrogant type that old producers like because they create unnecessary drama and make headlines. i doubt he'd last long as a celebrity if he's actually rude irl. at least the season3 producers realized that viewer preferences have changed into favoring friendly rivalries more. Competition is okay, but too much focus on it stresses the audience out more... and we don't need any more stress after everything we've been through this year. i hope they bring back the s3 captains, or at least find a similar group that can get along well while pushing each other to be better.

As a black U.S. American, I loved the chemistry, camaraderie, and energy the four SDC3 captains! I became addicted to the show. I am watching SDC3 again. I hate that Bouboo didn't win, but I loved his showmanship.

I would love to see the same captains again. Yibo, Jackson, Lay and Wallace had such a great bond and had fun with each other. They were aware that this is a battle but still they weren't rude to each other. I just love Yibo, Jackson and Lay but I also like Wallace. They are great and it would be so awesome when the four will come back for season 4 🥺 I will cross my fingers and wait for the news.

Just like what Yixing always says "Balance!" and the four of the captains in SDC3 has that, aside from chemistry, friendship and respect.

I have lamented ever since SDC3 finished that it's unlikely there will be a combination as good as the four of them again. They were so good. But Yibo, Lay and Jackson were already friends, and good friends too - at least Yibo/Lay and Lay/Jackson. All three of them trained in Korea and were in Korean boybands and went through that whole process so they have a lot in common. I also got the impression Jackson and Wallace were already friends. Its not really a fair bar to set the rest of the seasons to because the likelihood of a repeat situation is real low. Maybe it's just peaked! It was a perfect storm of combinations. And obviously regardless of them already being close they're just fantastic human beans, so supportive and cute towards each other. The only stuff I've seen of Vaness is from SDC final where I thought his interview with Liu Yuxin was a bit weird. It's horrible to see him being so rude to the dancers - in that SDC final interview he said his edge of the other captains was that they were celebrities who could dance, whereas he was a dancer. So he was going in with that attitude - it felt like in SDC3 the captains saw themselves as idols not professional dancers and so there was deference to the dancers. Vaness didn't have that no doubt he did think he was better - but man, super rude.

I have tried watching s1 and s2 in the past but eventually boycotted it as well. S3 was the only season that I finished. Also I also do not like the attitude of Vaness. Its like I get it you're trying to be straightforward like Yibo is also straightforward but Vaness straightforward-ness is just rude While Yibo ones are more of a joke and he tells u with respect.

I really like the sdc3 captains they have respect with each other and I think that is one of the factors sdc1 and 2 is missing and that is also the reason why sdc3 has a great success rather than the first 2 sdc.

The main issue I felt was the gap between the dancers and the mentors(?). In season three, the captains and the participants had such a bond where you could easily see that they respected each other as equals. I mean, while the contestants may not be celebrities, they still are masters of their own professions. And tbh, I watched S3 because of YiBo, but I ended up adoring all the other three captains as well. Their behavior was so well with the participants, so I really hope the director will cast, more than one, if not all of them in S4.

Throughout the episodes of season 3, I'd have liked to see a bit more of the captains working with their teams, whenever they did it. But from what we were shown, I felt that Jackson Wang and Wang Yibo were the most effective captains overall. They seemed to be very well liked and respected by their teams, and effective leaders of their teams, and they were also entertaining and articulate during the shows. I felt Lay Zhang was also very effective with his team, but he wasn't so on point during the shows, for the audience watching, giving his comments and judgements etc. Of all the four, I wasn't sure how effective Wallace Chung was with his team. He didn't seem quite decisive enough, or strongly directional. That's all just my impressions. Also, whenever the captains danced, I preferred watching Wang Yibo and Jackson Wang the most. I'm not into Krump, which Lay Zhang does a lot of, and I love the lines and precision of Wang Yibo and Jackson Wang. Wang Yibo in particular is such an elegant, clean dancer. So if there were two captains from season 3 included in season 4, I'd want them to be Wang Yibo and Jackson Wang. That said, I haven't seen seasons 1 or 2, so am not qualified to comment on the captains from those seasons. I also really liked watching Wang Yibo's journey during the season. He started out with a very clear idea of what he wanted in a team, what he wanted to achieve, and what he did and didn't like. But I think as the season went on, his horizons broadened. He came to enjoy the experience of the game, with almost all the dancers and their different styles and techniques. He still wanted to win, but he wasn't so focussed on that, or on winning in a certain way. And he learned how much broader and deeper street dance could be and still be street dance. That was inspiring and exciting to watch. I think he also learned a bit about leadership. So, although you said he has mastered dance, I'd think he feels he still has a bit to learn and experience in the field.

Season 3 is perfect on all levels: the captains, the contestants, the setup, even the hotpot series was very fun to watch. As much as I like all 4 captains coming back to season 4, I don't think they will. And I totally agree with you about the last seasons' captions, for me they didn't have as much charisma and some are celebrities from the 90s so probably they think they are better than the young dancers. Vaness should learn from Wallace

Honestly, I watched SDC because of Wang Yibo, Wang Jackson, and Lay, I think Chinese idols who has training in Korea most of them really respect, caring and appreciated to others.

SDC3 had the best captains. 4 captains are good nature and perfect. I have the same worry if yibo join again and if there won’t be like Jackson or yixing who will play with him or nice senior like Wallace

I really like your video. I have to admit I haven't seen SDOC 1 and 2 either, but have watched every episode of the third season when they came online on RU-vid. I would also like to thank you for translating for us what Yang Kai thinks about Yibo. I do not speak the Chinese language, but have seen the DDU episode. I think if Wang Yibo is really into season four it might be because he wants to defend his title.

I went to watch SDC3 for yibo and ended up being a fan of all the four. No future show with other captains can rock the stage as much as them. They cried and smiled with their groups and took part in their winning and losing all together. Its a family feeling, really and that touches our heart. Love and Peace! And yes i dont think yibo will or shd return back as sdc did him bad at the end and without people like jackson lay and wallace, i dont think he will be able to interact much so freely and comforably esp looking at the old captains in this video just superficially saying a big NO. I would like if all 4 captain from SDC3 would be back for SDC4. I watched both SDC1 and SDC2 but I didn't really got hooked on it so i stopped after the first episode. SDC3 captain chemistry is just something i dont really see in the previous 2

So excited to see Yibo, Lay and Han Geng coming back for SDC4 as well this will be Han Geng's 3rd time being captain. I didn't know anything about Henry Lau but looking at his bio, he is from Super Junior along with Han Geng so that comradery will be there. Yibo and Han Geng are both from YH so they have a history since HG has known Yibo since he was at least 14. And they are all from South Korean / Chinese boy bands, I think this line up will be very close like last year. I'm so excited for it!

I’m kinda surprised they casted three captains with such similar backgrounds (current/former kpop idols). This season was amazing from ep1, their chemistry was the best.

Being a captain or a leader isn't just ordering people around. It's creating an atmosphere where everyone are comfortable, where everyone can shine as brightly as they can. I know this video is about Yi Bo, but no one can deny that the four captains of SDC3 were amazing captains.

I really liked season 2's competitors and dances, but I didn't like the mentors much especially Show lo, especially what happened recently. The actual dancers were really great, episode 4 is probably my favorite and the most worth watching but I don't remember all the other episodes that well

I totally agree with you... If I were to decide, I would love all 4 Captains of SDC3 to come back as Captains for season 4. They just give very positive vibes and compliment each other, they have very good camaraderie. It helped that Lay and Yibo are good friends, then there's Lay and Jackson who are also good friends, then Jackson who can easily adjust to others, then Wallace being the eldest among the group who also has a very good personality and treats all the other 3 as younger brothers, and Yibo being the youngest, respects all the 3 as his older brothers. So they really compliment each other. I also agree that Vaness is kinda rude in that segment, it gives a feeling that he is greater than those dancers who auditioned. Lastly, I would prefer Yibo not to join SDC4, coz his team championed already, perhaps as a guest judge would be good. Love and Peace!

I tried SCD 3 after finishing the Untamed,plus there’re many clips of the interaction of Lay,Jackson and Yibo. As Kpop and hardcore fan of EXO, I watched it and got to like all the 4 captains. Their attitudes towards competition and professionalism were displayed with love and respect. I literally watched them with laughter and tears most of the eps. They really showed “ love and peace” throughout the competition program. I also wish to see all the 4 captains to be in season 4.

I totally agree with you! I watched SDC3 because of Yibo and I was a fan of Jackson and Lay too. I really loved the chemistry between Yibo, Jackson, Lay, and Wallace. Also, like you, I went to watch the second season and was uncomfortable with the Vaness thing too but continued watching a couple of episodes before I stopped. The thing about the second season was that I just felt uncomfortable during certain parts too because the show just felt too competitive and there was no chemistry between the captains. I just really loved that all four of the captains in the third season really were there to learn from the dancers there and from each other. It really was peace and love despite it being a competition. It was much more interesting watching everyone grow individually and as a group learning from their teams and from the opponents. I really hope Yibo can join the fourth season but boy is super busy all the time I hope he rests!

I watch season 1 and season 2 but theres no vibe. Season 3 is the best. Beside the bond and the love. Wishing the four captain from season 3 can be reunited for Season 4.

Each group like the 4 captains worked very hard to present unique choreographies, I liked each new challenge, I hope to see their new season next year.

I also feel that sdc3 the atmosphere is so family-like is different from sdc1 / 2 feels very cold. yibo can be comfortable because the other 3 captains are very caring and warm, especially Jackson who really likes to joke so when watching is not too tense and the feeling of his family is very much felt.

I came upon on SDC before I even stan yibo and actually watch the first episode but it wasn’t memorable at all and stopped at the first episode. Now bc I love the friendship between tao and that dude from produce 101and with Yibo being on sdc3, I tried to watch it again but there was no feeling of friendship, bonding and I feel like it was more of just work than actually becoming friends. SDC3 actually rises the expectations for new seasons including the captains and not only dancers. Their friendship is rare and such nice knowing that they hang out after filming and outside of it ( based on what I read) I am extremely glad yibo make new friends ~ If I got it right then will it be 4 captains? If so, I would love at least two captains from season 3 and one each from previous season. Now, I know that it’s impossible for both Yibo and hangeng to participate together ( at least for me) so it’s either Yibo or hangeng that will probably go. I do really want Yibo to participate again because I feel like, watching sdc3, he found a place where he does what he want and something that he is kinda thrilled to participate in but he’s extremely busy, he’s full right now until March /April 2021 and then for sure, he will take more dramas so I’m not sure about SDC. I personally want Yibo, Jackson and then that Jackson from previous season.The lastly I wish for yixing but I know it’s between tao and him, they will never participate in same show. I don’t want any others than who I mentioned lmaoo. He also give me that kinda vibe especially the way he acts and talk. I find him speaking French cringe~ sorry lmaoo

I watched cause of yibo but after watching more episodes and the seasons I grew In love with all the captions their connection with the dancers is like their a whole family and that's how it should be. They take each others advice and ideas in to consideration then combine them together and that's what you call team work and them whole as a family xx

Jackson Yee really caught my attention with his performance during the finals of SDC3 so I'd like to see more of him maybe in season 4. I'm not really interested in the first two seasons with the same reasons as you talked about, so I won't be watching those even for the Jackson Yee content (I'm not that deep yet lol). I heard about Hangeng after becoming an ELF (Super Junior fan). It was very unfortunate that he was mistreated by the agency but nonetheless I think he's a great guy. I would definitely like to see him in the 4th season as well. Your points about chemistry, camaraderie between the captains in season 4. Yes!! I would very much like it if two captains from season 3 were to join the next season. I feel like Jackson would be fine paired with anyone (maybe not Vaness, but he's irrelevant lol). Yibo had the most interaction with Jackson and Lay as compared to Wallace, so if Yibo is joining, then maybe not with Wallace? But Wallace is such a nice guy though and the contestants seemed to like his genuinity a lot.... If it's Yibo and Wallace, then Yibo can probably still feel comfortable with Hangeng so maybe it's fine? And maybe he could get along with Jackson Yee, but they are both (from what I've seen) on the quieter side of the spectrum so maybe it'd just be awkward with no interactions? But still I want Yibo in it

Hi, I really enjoy your videos thank youuuu 🙏🙏❤️🤗 One question, at the end of the Final Episode, they showed all 9 logos of all captains from S1-S3 (the only missing logo was Show Lu's -- not possible to include him because of his cheating scandal (??) but I could be wrong). I'm not against the idea of ALL OF THEM gathering but I do believe it will be less intimate. I personally believe Jackson Wang is really like glue that connects the 4 captains together. He lights up the room and cheers up the mood. It certainly is helpful that Yibo and Lay have known e.o for a long time, too. Yibo be collecting Ge left and right, he's so adorable 😍 Lay be heartbroken and crying when he couldn't do more to save his team members, he's so pure 😭❤️ Not to mention, Wallace's innocent, persistent, spirit. I agree when the contestants say that Wallace is the representation of the spirit of street dance (my vocab is limited, I'm sorry, it's just all S3 captains endear me to no end).😭😭❤️❤️ While I trust their professionalism and their ability to deliver a good show -- IF all 9 are back, I believe it'll take much more energy and a higher level of enthusiasm/engagement from ALL 9 PARTIES to be able to get the sense of brotherhood that S3 captains have given me.

Dancers whatsoever level they are, are known for being humble because after all dance is an art and being arrogant about an art eventually results in cease of the art in you ...so I totally understand your point here and I second your decision! I watched the SDC3 because of Yibo and became totally like all the captains. ( certainly, Yibo is the most ) I totally agreed with you just looked at his arrogant personality of that particular captain made me😨 uncomfortable, I don't how poor guys in his team felt. I always love Yibo performance in all areas as of right now, but not really want to see him join the event again, he had done this part and did it well, now it's time to move on do something else. I felt he has a lot of pressure during the show and thought he shouldn't put himself in that kind of pressure again. Yeh!!! I watched SDC3 because of Yibo, but later on i found Jackson too was there. I finished watching it though. 4 captains were best and you can noticed they're both good in relationship and they were friends in real life. The way they giving complements to each other were way better than last two seasons.No wonder they always trending.

About your ranking, if I'm not mistaken it was what his top priorities (preference?) which was motorcycle > skateboarding > dancing (then someone asked him oh but we see you skateboarding more often - to which he replied that's because I can't bring the motorcycle everywhere) this was what I remember! About joining SDC4 even though dancing is not on the top of his list, I guess since his schedule will be filled anyways given his popularity and everyone wanting his appearance, it would be nice that he gets something he enjoys aka SDC4 in his schedule as opposed to I guess other work/appearances that he may not enjoy as much :') Hope Jackson would be back with Yibo the 2Wangs were hilarious :3 And I heard good stuff Jackson Yee (易烊千玺) even though I didn't watch the earlier seasons so I hope to see him too, then maybe Yibo won't be the youngest captain anymore too haha

Same here, I also want all 4 of them in season 4. They really have a good chemistry. They also have respect to each of their team member.

Hope Yibo can find a time for season 4. He's perfect as a team captain. Also I'd hope that the game organizers will make the game more orderly and transparently, creat rules before the game and follow them through out to the end, aka be fair to all players and their leaders

I liked sdc3 , but I felt it was heavily rigged towards one person in the beginning..idk if I’m wrong..i agree with u I don’t see yibo repeating the same thing and he’s sooo busy rn..I rather think he’ll come back as a guest judge or something for sdc4..and I wholeheartedly agree with you on Vaness..yikesss

The sdc3 captains are the dream team!! Seriously, my sister and I binged the season (I mean, not really 'cause the episodes are huge, but still) and even though we each only knew half of the judges (Yibo and Jackson for me, Jackson and Lay for her), we ended up loving them (especially Wallace, literally the best)

ahh at least watch season 2 for the dancers 🥺 it’s my favorite season bc of the talented dancers and so many good performances come from it and you have a lot of OG dancers. Also yiyangqianxi with his team dynamics 🥰

Totally agree with you on Vanness altitude. I got a shock after hearing his comment on BuoBuo performance in SDC 3 final. He should talk about how he feel on BuoBuo team performance but he only focus to say about beatboxing in negative point of view.

No worries. I am onboard with you too. I can't stand Vanness, he's way too arrogant. I hate him as soon as I saw him on SDC3 finale. I watched SDC 2 until episode 2 and can't stand it anymore so stop. I might be mistaken but in one of hotpot session, director said something like captains are too soft or get along too well on SDC 3. Han Ge should be okay though cause I saw him with Yibo on some other variety shows (Happy Camp, couldn't remember) and both got along okay.. If Vanness is there then it's going to be a bloody battle and I don't want Yibo there cause he's too competitive and not going to be a pretty scene. I think Yibo wants to come back cause he enjoys so much of dancing.

Yup I agree with your view related to this video. Season 3 was best among all ,,,that because of all students n teachers were so cooperative Every captain made their bonding so good with their students. If possible lets hope to see all the season 3 captains again in season 4 too 😀😀😀😀👍👍👍👍
