Why do we need foreign investors in PNG, like the Late Stanley Pil once said,"PNG businessmen can own gold mines", why are our politicians fighting for Barrick??? Its about time we PNG owned our own resources rather than collecting scraps given to us by the investors. Consider this, landowners get paid a minority royalty, I'm assuming its 2%, large spin-off contracts are given back to the investing country's contractors, all profits made here are paid to shareholders in the country from which the investor company originated from.
