The Engagement Prize 2021 has been awarded to Lena Gronbach and her project Africademics, a scholarship platform and community for students in and from Africa. Africademics goal is to inform more young people about scholarships and to support them in the application process.
The German National Academic Foundation encourages its scholarship holders to take responsibility and to use their talents to serve the common good. Thus, the Engagement Prize - first awarded in 2014 - aims to support our scholars financially and in public in their ambition to contribute to our society.
