When I got engaged, I was totally in shock. My now husband, of 20 years, both our second marriage, had talked about getting married, we never went ring shopping together, I never expressed what type of ring I wanted. He did the most sweetest thing though. Both of my parents had passed away. My daughter was 12 years old at the time. About 2 weeks before Christmas, he had taken my daughter Christmas Shopping. Apparently, that is when he picked up my ring. He asked my daughter's permission if it was acceptable to her that he ask (us) meaning she and me to become a part of him, what it okay if he could ask me to marry him. I literally had NO IDEA!!! Christmas Day came, we all had opened our gifts together. I specifially remebering that my now husband bought my daughter a bike. While I was preparing Christmas Dinner, I was at the kitchen sink. He grabbed my arm and told me that he forgot to give me a gift that he accidently left in his truck. When I turned from sink, he kneeled down and my daughter showed up from the dining room. He asked me to marry him and confirmed it was okay with my daughter, Emily. Fast forward, we have been together for almost 21 years come this December!!!!

I knew when I was getting engaged and I low key am sad that I’m such a sneaky little snooper lol 😂 my now husband made me a little book and read it to me and the last page was a cartoon him on 1 knee saying will you marry me. It was cute. He also kept drinking champagne after every page and I was like wth is wrong with you? 😂
A small wedding is the vibe!! Everyone will want to talk to you & I personally liked having a small wedding so my husband & I could be present with guests but also not be apart all night long. I think it's best that the man picks out the ring. My husband chose mine because it looked like a flower. A flower that wouldn't die. He used to send me a rose every Monday at work.
I found the receipt to my engagement ring and try to goggle it nothing came up so thankful it didn’t but was so curious!! My now husband had planned a 10 day vacation to Aruba I wasn’t suspicious at all 😅 afterwards everyone was like how did you not put two and two together!!
