The best part about this clip?.....he's singing it LIVE. Like Elvis, Enge's voice never faltered. It got BETTER as time went on!

If they weren’t born in the 60s they wouldn’t ever understand? Thank God i have lived long enough to see this legend perform at The London Palladium! The very stage that shot him to global superstardom! At 7 years old I fell in love with this man. At 60 years old I actually got to see him perform live! Isn’t that something? 🥰

....I always remember my Aunty would sing this song quietly to herself as she did the dishes< I must have been four or five years old. Now when I hear it, it feels like yesterday.......it's actually fifty years ago!!

I don’t know what to say. There is only one things to say. He’s is my idol. Him, Sinatra and Tom Jones are some of t best. I’m 20 and I wish artistest today had the balls to sing songs like this today. I love music, hell wanted to major in jazz but hearing these reminded me of what a true class and love really is. If I ever meet Engelbert man, I would just say thank you for showing me what music and do and how this young man see class in a whole new way in 2019

Many people would love to be able to perform this type of music live but many of us are not sure the appreciative audience exists anymore. You are very likely to be labeled as out of date. I hate todays music.

I love Enge, but this was in 1980 when he was a good looking, slim 46 year old at the height of his vocal ability, in 2022, he is an 86 year oldman , overweight in baggy red shirts, a red bathrobe on stage and quite often out of key, though He continues to tour and record.

The guvnor! Mate, I heard you when I was inside my mother’s tummy as this was her fave and she played it all the time. My father said that she was trying to scare me out lol but this song is with me always as it was number 1 when I was born, so thank you for this soothing song for my entry into the world.

Leon hue, Enge had Covid and was sick. He is better now.Planning to go back on the road in October. His wife didn't make it. But after having Alzheimer's for 10 years, her chances were pretty much zero.
