I dont know if you will see this, and by the time the time you do i probably wont need it, but could you explain the Port register in the GPIO diagram? Why is ther ean inverter going to a multiplexer, and whats the point of the two logic gates? I can understand how it would behave, but i dont understand why you would want said behavior.

Two logic gates are because the signal must propagate with the clock pulses and not asynchronous. As the name says - they are to synchronize state of the pin with the clock. Why were you interested in that information when you said you won't need it?

@@ChupoCroThanks for the explanation, though looking back now it's pretty obvious. And for your question, because even if i don't need to know anymore, learning is still interesting. Also if anyone else comes after with a similar question they would be able to get the answer i couldn't. It's not rocket science.
