Engine 61 & Medic 501 MVI [Ponderosa Fire Department][Cypress Creek EMS]

After hearing that Cypress Creek EMS got the boot from Harris County ESD 11 and that they must vacate all ESD11 properties by next summer of 2021, I decided to visit Ponderosa VFD since Cypress Creeks busiest medics are located there (M51, M501, M521) Ended up catching all 3 medics, but that's for a future Cypress Creek EMS Compilation. However this video not only features Ponderosa Engine 61, but CCEMS M501 also as it responded with Engine 61 to a Motor Vehicle Incident on Interstate 45 Southbound.

Engine 61 - 2018 Pierce Velocity
Medic 501 - 2015 Ford F450 (Frazier Mfg.)

There sure is! Harris county ESDs on the north side are mostly Pierce and some Spartan

Thanks! Trying to get Cypress Creek EMS as much as I can to say farewell. The ESD gave em the boot after some financial and leadership turmoil

Interesting light setup on the engine! Not a big fan of those split flash patterns on the Whelen M-series but still a nice setup!

Ponderosa fd currently has a new platform ladder truck in production, would love to see it responding when it goes in service.

You are correct! I saw it the first day it arrived by chance. Tower is very unpredictable to catch however the engines are busy. Going to try and keep going till I get that and rescue 61.

Yes they do! All 4 engines have them. Still need to catch tower

I like the tone intros at the beginning of your videos. Do they sound the same at the station?

Yes and no, most stations yes but Ponderosa has a custom tone in station for MVAs and fires. Medicals not sure to my memory. But it also sounds the same inside
