Yaaaay well done. For your first time gearbox swap you certainy picked a big old lump, but "needs must" etc. Most of us would've looked at that and put it in the 'too difficult for me box'. You're "not a mechanic" you say. Well, you're doing a very good impression of one. It's also good to see the nasty old "C" hasn't laid you low. You always put up interesting videos so thanks for that.
Thank you very much for that matey, much appreciated. I've really not felt too bad at all this week and would quite happily of gone to work as I'd get full pay, bug not a lot I can do about it really... For whatnits worth, I reckon it always worth just having a go... If you cock it up, you can always take it to a bike shop hey 😁👍
Kawasaki did a great job painting these engines. Looks good! Just bought a Busa cylinder head from Ebay to work on. The one I have runs but has one repaired spark plug thread and 2 intake valves i found hard to lap in. Its your fault I bought it! 😁👍
CONGRATULATIONS!!!...I hope you have nothing but wonderful days ahead! ..As far as the bike.. isn't it amazing how quick it goes the second or third time through???..LOL👍🗽🇺🇸
Thank you matey, that's much appreciated. 😁 It's weird, but once you've been in there already, it's all familiar ground and you can get loads done in a short space of time. Just putting the camera down and getting on with it helps too, but not so entertaining I guess 🤣😂
Mate, EVERYTHING is going sooooo well.... from a crappy week with bike problems, to finding and fixing it, holiday, getting engaged, hearing it run today again... its just MEGA 😁👍
@@QuickBikes Couldn't be happier for you and the soon to be Mrs Q. It's a beautiful thing when things come together. Can't wait to see your face when you fire the bike up! 👍
Hey Quickie, Love the vids, I have a 2001 version of this ‘Master Blaster’ and applauded your dedication to the task and more importantly your never give up attitude even when shit goes sideways 😊 Keep up the good work and ignore anyone who Poo-Poos your methods or ability. It must be hard to filter all the crappy comments with the ones that may actually be of use to you. Congrats on the engagement.
Many thanks for the congrats matey, that's very kind of you. To be fair I don't get many negative comments at all... Everybody here seems to quote like it, so it's not really a problem. Loads of folks chip in with handy info or advice, so the comments section tends to be gold 😁👍
Congrats on popping the question to Sam. As for the nay saying keyboard warriors, if they had any nads they would have their own chanels doing it their way. Good work on getting it back together again, i look forward to the dyno run and what mods you will then make.
Thsnk you Bob, I'm dead chuffed matey. Assembly went quite well really and I think I covered the questions / points raised, but I'll wait for the comments 😁 I wonder what sort of channel he would produce... Hmmm 🤔
Yeah, but just because we've got an open can and airfilter, it needs a bit more fueling and you still get that burble when cracking the throttle with the screw all the way out. This should get us a little closer and may even have to go bigger yet... don't really know till we try it
Yeah. I think you'll get it from here with the fuel mixture. Can't imagine you will need an even larger jet. I have a similar setup, but with #38 jets and 2.75 turns out. It does pop a bit on deceleration. You are making me think I need to go to 3 turns and see how it goes. What are your main jet sizes?
Nice one Quicky, I knew you'd be fine with the job (you could easily take on a full engine tear-down & build back up now.....the workshop manual & parts manual are so good). Looking forward to seeing you tune the beast, my bet is somewhere around 135 - 137hp at the wheel with pipe & filter (oh, by the way, have you got the bigger - deeper - carb tops on? If I remember rightly it was the smaller carb tops that restricted these bikes during the days of that dumb 125hp max limit that was agreed in the 90s....ZXR750 carb tops were the 1s to liberate the motor I seem to recall). Congrats also on the engagement, nice one, I wish the 2 of you (& your family) the very best :)
Thank you matey. I must admit I'll be able to tackle the next one with a bit more confidence now having done it once.... maybe twice 🤣😂😅 I didn't know about the carb tubes, I'm going to look into that. Thank you dude 😁👍
Quickie your punching mate well punching above your weight with your wife to be lolololololol. Congrats mate and good luck with the planning for your wedding. Please make sure the bikes are finished before you do lolol.
well THERES YA problem .... Ya got the water pump and oil pump mixed up , it will be getting water when it will be a wanting oil! ( jk :) ) come on though , you really should do ..." and here's one I did earlier " in a very Blue peter Tracy Island style !
if my memory service me correct i went up 2 on my pilots and i had a full micron and k&n cant remeber the mains and ran ok.......did notice when you replaced the float bowl you did replace 2 screws in the wrong order...this could cause the bike to blow up so i hope your not going to sell it!!!! ONLY JOKING and didnt see any pixies lol keep it up mate soon be dyno time ooooooooooo yeeeeeeeeees
I could well need to go up again matey you're right.this should be a step in the right direction, but we'll know for sure when it sees s dyno 😁 PS - I was more worried about the tyre pressures in this hot weather causing the engine to seize 🤣😂
Well quickie I think like most of us I've seen the issue your fighting against is your cleaning equipment is sub standard .. your using the wrong grade of canned oil on assembly and your contaminating it by liberally smearing it with ya fingers . That's bound to cause a blip and maybe even a blow up issue ?. Thank gawd your not using spandex or even heaven forbid wearing it ..lol. are those shorts blue or green lol.. Good luck dropping it back in mate hopefully it'll all go a lot betterer this time round .lol.
Hehehe... wrong coloured wires, over inflated tyres, using long sockets instead of short ones... I'm flirting with a blow up I know, but live life on the edge as anything else is just taking up room hey 🤣😂 Had a great day in the shop again today matey as you'll see in the next video 👍
I don't think you did that right mate, surely you're supposed to clean your screwdriver before using it... [insert random internet keyboard warrior rant here]... Getting there slowly mate, again... 🤣🤣🤣
