Engine & Cabin air filter replacement 2018-2020 Toyota Camry 

Thanks, the greedy Toyota care dealer was charging over $220 + tax to change both. I paid $24 at Amazon and changed it myself. Not only did I save, but I learned to do something new.

I worked at a dealership several years ago and saw them charge a young lady over $120 to replace the in cabin filter. From that day on, I tell every Camry owner to do it themselves by watching videos like yours!!!

I just spent $41.00 today for both filters at O’Reilly’s. I was quoted over $100 from the tire shop to do it. No thanks, I got this!

Toyota wanted to charge me $60 to change my cabin air filter and it took me one minute to do it myself 😂 thank you for the video!

I use only OEM replacements, cabin was 15. and engine was 18. STP, always point arrows up, and never pile crap in glove box, reduces air fan, Thanks for sharing because ,I never knew the cabin filter had a filter holder, I just slide filter in 2014.5xlecamry

Thanks for info. On the cabin air filter, I suggest using needle nose pliers to squeeze the inner tabs on the right side to release. Then simply pull plastic to the right, so that it releases from the left side hinges.

My friend you saved me almost a whooping $250 today of September 5,2022 Labor Day. They changing my 2019 Toyota Camry oil at $94 and this dude (dealership) said I need engine filter and total cost will be $370.

The maf doesn't literally just clip off and the other two clips don't either, u have to push a lil tab and lift and or pull. You have to tell these good people how to actually do it, nothing just literally snaps off, the cabin air filter was on point with your instructions, thanks man

This video is about somebody learning how to change engine and cabin filter. He figures it out, in the end, and we learn with him. That said, the second cover for the cabin filter has two tabs, one on the left and one on the right. He only pushed the one on the right and then yanked the cover, which could damage the other tab. You first push the inner tab (left), then the right tab, and don't have to yank out anything.

Car owners should learn these basic maintenance including engine oil. I think auto trans filter/oil, brake maintenance and other advance work should be for the shops.

You really don't need to unplug anything. Just Un clip the 2 clips & raise it enough to remove the old filter & add the new one. Btw I have a 20 ES & engine air filter looks identical.

K&N is a waste of money. You have to get the oil level on the filter just right. Can't be too much, can't be too little or else you just have the equivalent of a normal paper air filter. Also, they let more dirt by. They don't tell you that part, they only tell you about the air. But it's true, they flow better because they're cotton but they let more dirt from the air into your engine. Which over the life of the car, does matter. Some people keep their cars for 8 to 10 years, they just take good care of them and make them last. Some people keep them even longer. So you need to know that K&N isn't all upside. There are definitely disadvantages to them. Which is why I just stick with a good quality oem style paper air filter. Like Wix brand, or even the house brand of your dealer.
