DX Engine Gattai Engine-oh! DX 炎神合体エンジンオー
Well.......atleast you can't say it isn't unique...
Engine-oh is the primary mecha for the initial three member Go-onger team. Each Engine that makes up Engine-oh has the ability to carry an Engine Soul (炎神ソウル) which provides character voices and sounds effects as well as having a small LED light. This makes Engine-oh the first mecha to have electronic capabilities between each mecha, albeit through a technical loophole.
Engine-oh is made up of three pieces. They are...
1. Engine Speedor
2. Engine Buson
3. Engine BeaRV
1. 炎神スピードル (エンジンスピードル)
2. 炎神バスオン (エンジンバスオン)
3. 炎神ベアールV (エンジンベアールV)
Engine-oh comes with Engine Soul #1 Speedor (スピードルソウル) as well as the Go-on Sword (ゴーオンソード) and the V Shield (Vシールド). The Go-on Sword folds up like an Engine Soul and is stored in one of Buson's rear compartments. The V Shield is the underside of BeaRV. To get the DX Engine Souls for Buson and BeaRV, you have to buy the DX Mantangun and the DX Highway Buster.
Due to the number of Engines there are in the Go-onger arsenal, Engine-oh can combine to form several variations. The primary variations are...
1. Engine-oh G6 (w/Gunbir-oh) - エンジンオーG6
2. Engine-oh G9 (w/Gunbir-oh+Seiku-oh) - エンジンオーG9
3. Engine-oh G12 (w/Gunbir-oh, Seiku-oh, and Kyouretsu-oh) - エンジンオーG12
Smaller variations exist aswell such as Engine-oh Birca (エンジンオーバルカ) which is Engine-oh with Birca as an arm. This combination works with Engines 4,5,7,8 aswell.
A repaint of Engine-oh was released as Engine Daishogun (炎神大将軍). This was featured prominently in the Go-onger movie Engine Sentai Go-onger: BunBun! BanBan! GekijouBANG!! (炎神戦隊ゴーオンジャー　BunBun! BanBan! 劇場BANG!!)
Engine-oh is a mecha that really took time for it to grow on me. To be honest, I actually sort've like this toy now that it's been laying around for a year or so. It's certainly a fresh idea. I have to admit, BeaRV is adorable, Speedor is a neat looking hotrod, and Buson...is a brick.
Bandai America released it's own version of Engine-oh for Power Rangers RPM. It's called the High Octane Megazord. It's VERY different from Engine-oh however. The mold used to make the toy is entirely new and does not feature Fullsized Engine Souls like Engine-oh. If you have the means...I fully recommend buying Engine-oh over the Power Rangers version.

Don't blame ya. The sheer cost of getting all the enjins for G12 is insane. Love this review either way. I'd be content to get just these three someday.

@Gantua I do agree. You need to buy battery for each of them. If Bandai of American released a electronics version it may be selling well. The zords/mecha don't talk on RPM so what would be the point of release a electronic version. They're kids toys anyway, but woth collecting.

I actually don't have a problem with High Octane Megazord. I think it comes down to the fact that even though he's of a lower quality compared to Engine-O he's what I expect a toy to be. The sentai versions always go above and beyond what I expect. Nice video though I'm going back and rewatching Go-Onger now, it's still a lot of fun :)

The first time Engine-Oh unsheathed it's default sword in the series, I reared back in my chair and exclaimed "OH SHIT, LOOKOUT, IT'S GOT A SWITCHBLADE." Good luck to Engine-Oh for when he tries to board airlines.

At 7:45, I swear that it sounds like Toshihiko Sahashi's soundtrack to 'The Big-O'. Then again, quite a bit of the OST sounded like it was from that show. Either way, though, Engine-o took a while to grow on me, too. I still hate the Engine Sword for some reason, it just looks too much like a giant pocketknife to me. Other than that it was sorta neat. Either way, great review as always good sir!

Dude... I LOVE this mecha! I just hope RPM doesn't do a total let down.... They should have taken a few ideas from Go-Onger's story... I wanted talking Zords!!!

You think? My only gripe when I saw the finisher was that it made me think to myself "ANOTHER dash-and-swipe-style finisher!? DAMN, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GLORY DAYS OF BADASS CHARGE-AND-SLASH FINISHERS?!" (ex.: Daizyuujin, RV Robo, Muteki Shogun, Victory Robo, and especially Dairen'ou, who has the best one of that style)

I thought Timeranger's finishers were bloody brilliant. Rather than just arbitrary flashy effects, they tied in with a theme. The "clock slashes" were fucking awesome.

Right, I forgot about Timeranger's finishers. (I suppose we could blame Power Rangers Time Force, however; I think they used the Matrix-like shooting finisher more often...) Those were awesome, too because of their clock theme.

Hey CCLemon, are you interested in flipping around the bottons on your BeaRV soul so that when placed in BeaRV, it doesn't do the Highwaybuster sounds, but BeaRV's sayings. if so, let me know, and I'll send you a personal message linking you to my Deviant are page. I posted a step by step guide on how to do it. I did it with mine and I love it that way, and a few other people did it with there's and it worked for them too

One thing I've noticed about the HIgh Octane Megazord - and the other Power Rangers RPM zords compared to Engine'ou and the other Engines of Go-Onger: ironically, while the molds are totally different, certain details that were incorrect on the Engines are also incorrect on the zords!!! Ex.: The 2s on both Buson &Lion Hauler and the 7s on Toripter & (the US) NOT having their black outline, the upper back area of Bear RV & Bear Crawler being straight yellow instead of black/silver, etc.

yeah its knock off quality, but go easy on it o.k? The Us is going through some tough economic stuff, people cant afford 30 40 doller mecha like they use to.. but your right high octane is a stack of shit waffles

Bandai America has gotten far up their asses, making a smaller, more fragile and reasonably cheaper version of the mold. (Bandai America, fuck you!) I'll go with the DX Daishogun instead.

Electronics suck they take up room and money so the toy can make sound effects, they should be improving the pose ability and articulation for the toys.
