Thanks for taking the time to respond - I was a complete die hard fan and went to se them whenever I got bored - so I eventually saw them 103 times (!!) before they split and became good friends with them. Not only were they an amazing live band that would get the whole audience rocking, but they were bloody hilarious too! Cheers for the comment & I'm glad it bought back great memories Cheers
Just stumbled across this. Great live band. Remember seeing them at The Meadow Club (Notts County football ground) some time in the late 80s. The night is a bit of a blur (pissed as usual) but my abiding memories were being mesmerized by the drummer's facial expressions and falling out with a mate after the gig cos he upset my girlfriend. Can't remember why though! Top band...
Jayzus - a mate just sent me the link - top load - takes me back loads!!! Can't remember how many times I saw them but they were a great act who I first saw in a rock pub (Raven?) in St Helens ooh sometime around 82 or 83 - they came crashing into the place on space hoppers - what an intro!!! I got the Autowreck CD but cheers for the memories coz you had to see them to experience them didn't you?
Morning Paul and yes, I am. - We have a tribute page on Facebook it's facebook. com groups/Engine1979to1997/ Sadly, no, we've asked, begged, I offered them a good slot at the Cambridge Rock Festival (not even sure I could pull that one off!) and I've even offered to part fund a retrospective CD, but alas, it's still no. The energy levels required to get 'road fit' are the main issue and all members (Wad, Ape, Yoz) are doing their own thing. By all means check out the Facebook page though - we have a ton of memorabilia on their. Good luck, Si

@barnet11uk Hi Ya - that song was called "your love is Like a suction pump" - it was on the CD 'Autowreck', but it was a crowd chant only and we only heard it at gigs Cheers simon
