Thanks just used your plans as a reference to make my tool 6$ worth of material and got to put my new welder !

I built exactly the same fork spring compression tool a few years ago for Indian MC forks and works great for Harley and Honda . Super handy tool! I added a rubber on the bottom for the tang sticking up and at the top machined an adapter to allow a socket to remove the shock retaining nut. This works great on the HD Dyna fork tubes too.
