I'm doing an album at Blackbird right now. I Love this studio; it is unbelievable... After touring a lot of studios to decide on a place to make an album, it was an easy choice. The building, the gear, the atmosphere, the collection of vintage pinball machines... But, I think what makes it so special are the folks that work for John. His producers (David Hall!) in the Blackbird Pro department and manager Scott along with many others. Steven and his team will need to work hard to make a plug in that models the wonderful people at the studio :)

PP feels like it's more about ads and promotions of other things like vintage king and black bird. Some of the ITL s with black bird about microphones can easily be found by simple searches. I like the old way, more informations less ads and promotions. Anyone else?

"good is the enemy of great"....yes yes yes...thank you for that I'm really interested to see what these guys come up with...slate is always pushing the boundaries and is a brilliant innovator in his own right...I like slate stuff for the same yet opposite reason I like fabfilter stuff...slate is to emulations and vintage gear software what fabfilter is to digital brilliance...

Too bad the show has gotten to this. Next step is Dave and Herb and guests laying around getting massaged and fed grapes by half naked women talking about how great each other are. What happen to talking about tips and tricks of audio engineering that professionals have done and learned that helped them get to the point of making a living being an engineer or producer?

Closing in on 200 episodes there's been plenty of tips and tricks up through the years. It was just great to see them hang out together sharing stories and talking about what they love. One of my favorite episodes.

Anyone who says this is just a promotional circle jerk needs to get their heads checked and their pens out. Take notes when things are mentioned quickly in passing, there's huge amount of knowledge getting dropped here. As well as being a great audio tip forum, this is also an audio CULTURE show.

I'm gonna have to side with Dave on Sgt. Peppers. Great record, don't get me wrong. But it's over rated imo. Rubber Soul, Abbey Road and Revolver are my personal favorites.

yeah GREAT show but this is very bad episode which is rare. We are not that excited about sales and marketing guys. Make it practical to us.

good example why the show needs to be 3 hours long like the Joe Rogan Experience. If you guys are friends then I want to hear you shoot the shit, not in this edited constrained form. Sorry Herb, we all know the show's good but take a step back and plan less and you will have more fun please dude. The style of the show is great but there is also a need for some shit talking and you can't get that in the form of a normal episode.
