@@Engineeredtoslide yea no big deal just machining it up 😂 that’s why my statement stands . One of these days I’m gonna do a custom floor and engine bay in my red car similar to this just to many projects and can’t always decide which to take further
Idky but the unpainted hood and bumper really caught my attention, thought it looked weird at first but actually looks really good and had to click on vid, very very nice build and underrated channel
Awesome machine dude! Love the whole vibe your going for. Congratulations, not only for building it but also for owning one of the best looking Nissan cars ever produced. (Personal opinion, other opinions are available)
Wow how many hours and what is the total spent on this thing? Gotta be in the millions if you factor in all the equipment needed and training to build something like this. Great build. You really made an inspirational beast of a car. Only negative I see was not hearing this thing and all the noises it can make.
Wow I better sell my s14 to someone who has skills, because I don't. I am too ghetto, don't even have off street parking, let alone a shop or welding skills. My skills are limited to a wrench set and usually I snap bolt heads and strip threads. My legacy is that I've blown many motors. I have no business owning a platform with such potential. This is an incredible example of superior skills whoah.
Been following you since the black 180 days. Killer build Nigel, ive always loved the style of this car. I especially love the wheels and how the defi gauges swing in unison on startup!
Something something "didn't know you could upload porn on YT" xD Absolutely brilliant work on this machine, I know that perceived simplicity in the finish has to have come at the cost of hours and hours of effort.
What’s the idea behind going ITB instead of leaving it boosted? I understand reliability, and throttle response are important for a grippy track build like this but wouldn’t a stock turbo SR with upgraded cooling and reliability mods make sense. I’m not bashing the build by the way, the car is amazing with good taste and attention to detail. I’m just intrigued to the reasoning behind it
I grew up obsessing over cars like ford escorts with BDA 1800 engines screaming through rally stages and I have 4 other cars with SR20 turbos in them, this build was about doing something I had always wanted and driving an NA car is a very different experience to the turbo cars, that’s what I wanted from this, sure it’s slow but it gives the car a different feel and the driver a different experience, it requires everything else to be just right for performance, not just the usual turbo recipe so it suits my skill set. Cheers
@@Engineeredtoslide thanks for the reply, makes a lot of sense hope I get to drive an NA with ITBs like that one day I bet the response is incredible Cheers 💯
welp time to do a deep dive finding driving videos of this! Also, if anyone ever makes a mod for this car in Assetto Corsa, I will literally pay you lol
This is absolutely my favorite track silvia ever! love the fact you kept it N/A and this car is the inspiration of me saving money to ITB my N/A sr20 s14!
Really beautiful and cool build! The bottom end is completely stock? 118kw… I have a 180B and when i thought its original L18 not worth rebuilding, I bought an s13 SR and started by fitting a twin carby intake manifold to it. But am thinking i would try for about or a little more than the s15 Autech n/a engine rated at 200ps. 11:1 compression and stuff bigger cams into it. Its great to hear the details on your specs. 270 duration cams just seems pretty small for an n/a. i was going to look for 290~300 range. Wondering why you didnt push it to the limits of what an n/a SR might be able to make.
Hey Nigel, love yours cars and workmanship! Just wanted to ask is there a reason you’ve maxed out your cambertops? Do you just prefer that much negative camber looks wise or is there a performance reason more so. Reminds me of the R32 Group A cars cheers
The level of craftsmanship in this silvia is incredible man, I've always admired your red 180sx so ill be keeping an eye out to see if you do a build breakdown of it! Keep it up :)
This build has always been one of my favorite s13's. The attention to detail and innovation is inspiring. Hope to carry some of these ideas over to my own s13.
so cool man!! I remember seeing you in a segment in Bein sports channel on drifting years ago, and followed you from their on out. so cool how far you made it!! sick build!!!
Hands down one of my favorite Silvias of all time! I’d luv to see this car at Tsukuba Time Attack hauling ass with Taniguchi driving🤘🏽 Aloha from Hawaii🤙🏽
