Arconada y Casillas, dos porteros de un estilo muy similar. Grandes reflejos y algunas lagunas, sobre todo en el juego aéreo. Capaces de hacer paradas imposibles y luego pifiar en jugadas sencillas.

You havent been paying attention. England play a completely different style of football now. the only thing missing is a midfielder of the stature of Glenn Hoddle.

However, Spain: one world cup and three Euros. England: one world cup and that was so long ago that the trophy was different.

Era uno de los mejores centrocampistas de España. Estuvo en la selección hasta la eurocopa 88 que ganó Holanda.

Lo de las presuntas amenazas de ETA lo apunté, tal como ya dije, a manera de leyenda urbana, lo cual quería decir que era un pensamiento que estaba ahí, en las cabezas de algunos, pero que no llegó a demostrarse probadamente..... De hecho, en los años posteriores no ha vuelto a tocarse ese tema, por lo que cabe pensar que no pasó de ser, justamente, una leyenda urbana. Había calidad en los jugadores. Dicen que hubo problemas en el vestuario entre jugadores de unos clubes y otros. Del Madrid con los jugadores vascos. Y esto se trasladó al terreno de juego.
