Poor shaw. Get well soon and hope to see a strong season from shaw. Great linkup to the United boys in the first half. Edit: Remember fouls on goalkeepers are given more often. Even a slight nudge to impede the goalkeeper in his jump is a foul. Kane's was a pen tho so I reckon fair result would've been 2-2

That was some outstanding football from both sides. De Gea was excellent and the goals were of high quality. Shame it was pay per view. Perhaps the arm chair critics should have another look at the attempts on goal by England. If it weren't for some of De Gea's outstanding stops, things may have been very different.

Since 1990 deal with it the reason is the keeper has an advantage to jump up and catch the ball and if their wasnt a rule keepers wouldnt use that advantage because their is a massive chance of dropping the ball if their is someone underneath you

The player should not be where he was because the GK was going to the jump to the ball (and had already jumped). In that area of the field iit is forbidden to touch the GK. You were outplayed at home, you almost didn’t have the ball and that is not normal when England plays at Wembley. I understand how you can be frustrated but I think the ref was right.

jason eagles From what I’ve seen in football I think it’s a foul. I’m not either Spanish Nora English if that helps. I’m Portuguese so I do not want to support Spain in anyway possible but this has nothing to do with that. Obviously I’ve never read the manuals that the refs study. This is just my opinion from what I’ve seen and I’ve seen a lot of English football too

Spain are the perfect team for England to play because they play to English strengths of speed and power. Their system requires them to press so high up the pitch to provide multiple passing options that they leave so much space in behind, and the don't have the pace to recover. Joy to watch counterattacking pace of Sterling and Rashford - Shaw a beast!

Totally agree. Nothing I saw from England at the world cup made me think we had suddenly become a great team. Belgium beat them twice and they lost to Croatia. The only half decent team they beat was Sweden. Most of their goals came from set pieces. Sterling was absolute rubbish and Kane had a poor tournament. They did at times play some fluent passing football but there's a long way to go yet Mr Southgate.
