Impressive start to the campaign and a fantastic game to watch. A great display of individual skills, speed and strength, but also of brilliant teamwork. So many high points - Claudia MacDonald scoring from close range and then putting on the afterburners for her second, Tatiana Heard breaking through the tackles to score, Poppy Cleall's superb line breaking run, Abby Dow and Sadia Kabeya linking up to score and, of course two tries for Amy Cockayne and a hat trick for the Captain. Add to that Sarah Hunter's farewell and what a weekend you gave me! Can't wait to take my granddaughters up to Twickenham in April!
Having lived in England ,France and Scotland-and having been fully involved in rugby - l can tell you that l’ve found the players and fans in these countries( and those of the other nations) to be patriotic, but fair in their attitudes. In this age of professionalism we need to introduce youngsters to the etiquette of the game-xenophobia doesn’t help!
il y a un trop grand déséquilibre entre les équipes, ça devient de moins en moins intéressant. there is too great an imbalance between the teams, it becomes less and less interesting.
It's more a case of England have set the standard so high. Scoring against them is a big thing, go look at their scorelines for the last few years. Look at how many games they won on the bounce.
Unfortunately tomorrow, Scotland will destroy England and even if the referee gets intimidated by posh English rugby fans, the Scottish rugby fans won't be because they, along with France, Ireland, Wales and Italy play the game with class and have very classy supporters s come on Scotland!
This was 'after' the World Cup, silly. Where England were robbed blind. Besides.... we put New Zealand to the sword, last month. I think England have pretty much settled the world number one, argument.
