While the men were playing in the first World Cup in 1930, only 9 years before that were Women allowed to vote, let alone play other nations that also didn’t have teams because they weren’t allowed to create their own institutions. As recently as 2011, Dana White who is the president of the UFC said that Woman would never fight in his organization. They are not “taking over developed institutions”, they are looking for equality and want the same opportunities that men currently have. Apart from fighting for equal pay, respect, and opportunities for them selves, they also have to fight for rights to do what they want with their bodies (Roe v Wade, Alabama, etc). Alex Morgan has said that many of her teammates in different leagues also have to have multiple job to continue playing soccer professionally. To say that Women are privileged and don’t have hardships it’s completely misguided, and quite frankly makes them immensely more human than you.
