AFTER 95 minutes of excruciating shambles, England were heading home from these Euros in disgrace.
Then, just a couple of minutes of football later, Gareth Southgate’s bullet-ridden troops had propelled themselves into a quarter-final against Switzerland in Dusseldorf next Saturday.
Jude Bellingham’s extraordinary bicycle-kick equaliser forced extra-time before Harry Kane’s header seized the lead just 53 seconds after the restart.
Here was an exercise in snatching victory from the jaws of utter disaster.
Because England were terrible for 95 minutes. Truly awful.

Probably the most embarrassing match I've witnessed throughout this tournament... I'm not blaming Southgate,as he's not out on the pitch kicking the ball. The entire England team just don't seem to have any interest whilst playing and appear not to have a care in the world... For crying out loud England, do something to make us proud, get a backbone and put some effort into next game.

Kane, Foden, Stones, Walker all need to be dropped, almost permanently until their replacements perform worse than them. This has been 4 games of cr*p and it is because Southgate seems blind to the fact that Kane does nothing to allow forward momentum. He is so overrated it’s embarrassing. He is supposed to do exactly what Toney did when he came on. Fight, hold up, carry and burst forward. Kane doesn’t have any of these things, he just stands somewhere random and puts his hand every now and again. We cannot continue to play Kane in case he gets a chance, we need forwards like Toney and Palmer who go and make chances, that will allow Bellingham to start destroying teams. If Kane starts the next game then that’s it for England, we are blind to pay cheques instead of ability and work rate.

Southgate hasn’t learnt anything, still poor dull negative football, saved by a spectacular goal from Bellingham and a goal from Kane. Besides that Slovakia were the better team.

Watched the match on German TV where you don’t get any of the English TV propaganda, they just called the game as we could all see it… England were way too static when in possession to the point they struggled to even get out of their own half. Pathetic. Southgate has to go whatever happens.

Yet again, this small island mentality: thinking we re big fish but we are in our little bowl deceiving ourselves. The pitch for the England game was not good and we see that after 3 minutes when Trippier past the ball back to Guehi there was no pace in the surface and left Guehi getting booked, Southgate has got No bottle he needs' to roll the dice earlier with changes.

I have watched there LAST 3 games and i am sure the ENGLAND TEAM will be the first to say they are disappointed with there performances but just because we dont seem to be firing on all for cylinders dont mean we cant play better against Switzerland if we just need to believe in our ability and belive in our BULLDOG ENGLISH spirit so lets all get behind our LADS im sure they will prevail
