Well done Denmark. After what was a sad incident to Christian Eriksen in your first game of the tournament, the spirit and togetherness your team showed was nothing short of phenomenal. You can all be proud of your team's efforts for reaching the semi finals. I felt bad for the way our fans behaved with the boos at your national anthem. That was embarrassing. As an American watching this entire tournament, that penalty was really harsh and could've gone either way. Y'all in Denmark have certainly won our hearts and respects from all over the world for what your team did to keep battling and rebounding from that shocking moment with Eriksen. Well played Danes.

i am as a dane almost certainly are proud of our national team. I havent had a real interest in Danish national football in many years due to mixed results but this really changed this summer!

@@salfordnick5336 go learn football rules.. a pulled shirt, with no contact, no hit, no injury, far from the goal... it'a a yellow card. No possibility it could be a red. One of the best coach, Mourinho, complimented Chiellini for being smart and strategical to use this tactical fault in that situation.

It’s not though. It’s the end of their journey. And a lot of players will go to the World Cup next year but some are too old to go to euros next time. Allll of the English team are very young and will knock denmark out next time too.

@@joesmith4703 Most are mid 20ies-30, some early 20ies with lots of potential coming up as well, and yes some are early 30ies. So no, not the end at all. If nothing else, even the older boys will be around long enough to kick your asses on a day we aren't injured and completely worn out. Big bad England with all the talent in the world, and massive home advantage, had to go through on a dive in extra time. You have nothing to brag about here, Forza Italia!

England played better, no doubt. But it doesn't justify the cheating from Sterling and Kane. They look for every opportunity to dive. Sterling is an expert at diving in the penalty area, and Kane falls as soon as he feels pressure. Damsgaard's goal is what you call a legit and amazing goal.

Wasn't a penalty but Denmark as hard as they fought and as unlucky as they were just ran out of steam and Englamd took over in the 2nd half. Damsgaard scored a screamer though the foul that led to that free kick was BS. Kasper Schmeichel was exceptional in goal and was unlucky to be on the losing side. Seeing as England have been on the receiving end of BS decisions like that on more than one occasion I'd be lying if I said I wasn't delighted to get one in our favour. Having said that infinite respect to Denmark your entire team are a credit to your nation. Italy on Sunday Probably not going to win in all honesty but we go again. Not enough foul to put a penalty in such a game and in extra time. Just not fair to Denmark, who deserved to go to aftermatch penalty shoot out. Dans, I am in sorrow with. The whole world has seen Sterling hiding his eyes at interview. This is not a win for England, but more a shame caused by entire referee system

Actually, England didn't make a score if it wasn't for that non existing penalty Sterling dived Into, that got you an opportunity. Even when we were down to 10 players in the last time of the game you couldn't score. You can't take Credit for the own goal.

@@mariamysager2789 if you claim that penalty was non existent,then Denmark's free kick wasn't one either,so honours even. Btw an own goal under pressure from Sterling counts as a proper goal since Sterling would have scored anyway if that defender hadn't put it into his own net. Also, when Denmark was down to 10 men Southgate decided to shut up shop and substituted a striker for a defender to protect the lead, hence no further goals were scored or needed. Denmark should feel proud of getting to the semi finals without their best striker (a bit like England without Sterling or Kane) and losing to the potential champion is nothing to be ashamed of.

Okay, well the free kick denmark had which the got the first goal with, shouldn't have counted, the free kicks in themselves counted, but the positioning of the denmark players in the wall was illegal the cheating fucks. If anything that ref was a biased piece of shit blame him, not us
