Interesting we’ve gone back to Mallins. He’s been on fire for years for Saracens finding the try line regularly. Great lines of running and decent under the high ball. But questionable if he’s got the gas or defensive game for this level

I’m a bit disappointed with the Farrell and Smith 10/12 combo, but understanding given injuries. However, I still find it hard to believe there’s no #12 in all of England that could be in there? Idk. I hope it works.

I'm nervous about England's set peice, mainly the scrum!! I think teams will target the front row and it's worrying that we don't have any good prospects coming through hence the inclusion of Dan Cole, who let's be honest was struggling in an England jersey 3 years ago. We will have to dominate Scotland in other areas to win this game but if we're constantly losing the scrum battle then penalties will come into play. I hope I'm wrong and we smash em but I'm not confident at all. 🤔🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I’m not sure Malins has enough pace. I’d like to see real flyers out wide.

Hyped for the six nations but after the forced selections due to injuries which can’t be helped and some of the unforced selections I’m less hyped than I was even a fortnight ago. Remove OHC and it’s very reminiscent of Eddie Jones’s six nations team from last year. We’ll have a bounce but the front row looks weak scrum wise. Hopefully by Wales the likes of Slade and Kelly are back and form the starting midfield. Disappointed that Murley, Willis, Rodd, Mitchell and Ribbans didn’t make the cut. The hope I have is the above plus players like Barbeary, Launchbury, Stuart and Arundel come back from injuries and Japan stronger and hungrier. Glaringly an opus is the weakness at lack of true blindsides and hopefully Ted Hill playing more for Bath he’ll slide into the squad and then the starting 15.

England have improved on the wings but everything else looks like the Eddie jones team

Unbelievable Smith, Farnell, doesn't work, both scrum halves too slow at the breakdown. Surely Dombrant 8, Care 9,Smith 10.. important they know each others game and they are the hinge of the team. Hope I am wrong

Only see a Scotland win. By at least 2 clear scores. Man for man - and as a team - they have the clear and strong edge. Hope they think so too - as their Achilles Heel was always overconfidence (in the past). Their Bok contingent strengthen them significantly.

I dont understand the issue with the term finishers. It's a more accurate description of 16-23 in the modern game than "bench" or even "replacements". It shows you have thought out the whole 23 and the way you want the game to go. English press couldn't accept that being a finisher was not you being "dropped". Insert Eddie Jones talking about Ford
