@@JG-qe6rq Southgate missed the 6th penalty genius . . . It's amazing how all you football fans, who can barely speak English, think that football started in the year 2010 . . . 'LOL.'
Lol fair play? Are you English, blind or just don’t know the rules? Am i salty, even pity? Well yes i am and i‘m not even a Football fan, but i can’t stand manipulative, cheating „tactics“ that are against the rules, rules that are made for reasons. I would be ashamed to „win“ in such dishonourable way, and on top of it, to even be a Bad winner at that too, showing them the L afterwards, and this Sport is supposed to be the „Gentleman’s Game“😂 Christ, even the NYTimes picked up on their „tactics“ www.nytimes.com/athletic/5620945/2024/07/07/england-vs-switzerland-penalties-analysed-pickford/
yep, that's why rule 14 in ifab exists, people are clueless about those tactics and i guess the referee "forgot" about it. Ifab 14 specifically says what ways of time wasting tactics are not allowed, and he did 3 of them. But let's give it the benefit of doubt and it's a bit subjective how the referee will decide, it's also subjective if the facial expressions and other tactics he used were against rule 14, but, it's very clearly visible that he touched the net and the pillars, multiple times, which is also against rule 14,but for some reason the referee didn't saw it once, even when he was doing it right in front of him, while jumping up and down, which, ofc is also against the rule sport psychology is fascinating, and England did their Homework very well
I'm Welsh and England was the better team your talking shit,Good luck to my English cousins you can do this and make not just England proud but Britain proud, plus I'm a Liverpool fan and loved the way Trent made that penalty look easy🏴🇬🇧
@@stephenfogerty9315 Your welcome Stephen👍We all need to be as one as our country is a mess so by England winning like the womens team did would raise the spirit of our great country 🏴🏴🇬🇧👍🙏
So far this euro England penalties were breathtaking. The way the guys kicked it, they Made it look very easy. Thanks for the upload from this angle. Very beautiful
Pickford's cocky walk (00:53) and cheeky gesture to the ref (who was writing in his notebook and didn't notice) after that save were priceless. He's lucky the ref didn't see him or he might have been fined but it was quite subtle. Also raising his shorts and jumping in the goal. So funny. It was like something from Dad's Army. He made sarcastic gestures to the ref throughout the penalties, as he was clearly irritated by the ref acting like Captain Mainwaring.
„He's lucky the ref didn't see him or he might have been fined but it was quite subtle“ ah at least one person here that seems to know the penalty rules and even picked up some of the other „subtle“offences too
Thought we struggled in the last third. Switzerland defended brilliantly to be fair though. Close game, draw was a fair result, penalties are always a lottery, glad weve finally got rid of that stigma.
It's great that England won and also their penalties were well-taken. However, they only had 3 shots on target in 120 mins of open play. They will need to up their game against the Netherlands. They are markedly stronger in depth than the Swiss.
I don't like that angle one bit, it gives me ptsd if my team is taking their kicks, it always look like it will be saved, I wish they scrap showing from that angle
most times when they sipping water before every penalty it's because they have each players favorite side to kick on pens written on the bottle of water.
Thanks for sharing such a perfect and full video with penalty attempt tick mark, 👍🏻coz i hv searched so many videos who skipped atleast one penalty....
To be fair Switzerland was not the better team . This was England best game they played well for 90 mins but Swiss played better extra time and of course England dominated the penalties so overall England was the better team.
This guy talking about the keeper not diving the right way..... one of the stupidest things iv heard in a while LOL. Can tell hes never kicked a ball in his life!
Was this guy watching the same game! England were the better side throughout and their penalty taking was flawless. Plus, when was the last time Switzerland beat England in competition?
The numpty making the Commentary must have watched a different game cos Switzerland wasn't the better team . clearly, he hasn't got a clue what he is talking about and as far as the penalty's id concerneɗd , England are just playing Europe on their game as said previously
Dear Kane, for England Sake, can you distance yourself from the next coming match. just to allow Watkins to play, he can run and mocks defenders and score goals… he is not lazy as you are! Zero shots and nowhere near the box….SouthGate is playing football of the 50s
We did it the hard way again but we done it , next game we need to play from the beginning not fall behind or risk it , Southgate needs to make changes kane is a dinosaur start with tony and kane upfront
this is actually a really good video because it shows how Pickford got into the first penalty takers head , had that first goal gone in it would have gone to sudden death , so for me Pickford is the hero , but obviously those penalty's were brilliant as well.
It‘s the most efficient penalty „mind game“ out of all, when the goalie delays the take of the kick Sport Psychologist Jordet to NYTimes:"When players stand in that position for eight seconds or more, their success rate drops to below 50 per cent," he says. "Akanji was by far the player who stood in that position for the longest - it was 14 seconds.“ That’s why there are Rules that should prevent this and be sanctioned when recognised and since this „tactic“ is so efficient, it‘s even used as an example to elaborate the Ifab Rule14: „The defending goalkeeper must remain on the goal line, facing the kicker, between the goalposts, until the ball is kicked. The goalkeeper must not behave in a way that unfairly distracts the kicker, e.g. delay the taking of the kick or touch the goalposts, crossbar or goal net“ 14.2,Offences and sanctions: the goalkeeper offends: - if the ball is prevented from entering the goal by the goalkeeper, the kick is retaken.“ At Pickfords first turn he: delayed the time to the kick, almost hugged the post and net while doing so, pulling extreme faces, like, dude looked like a effing maniac, touched the net multiple times and the top post (which is also explicitly listed as an offence), while exaggeratedly jumping up and down (which, depending on the referee, is also an offence) So, Akanji‘s kick should have been retaken according to the rules
Italy won the trophy in 2020 despite winning just one of their knockout games in 90m. Portugal were champs in 2016 despite winning JUST ONE match in the entire tournament, in 90mins.
To be fair if the dozy keeper had watched the ball and not dived out of the way of them -he would saved most of them --for the life of me I wll never understand why they dont ignore the player and watch the ball---they would then go the right way everytime and save all the soft ones.
South gates luck will run out soon if he doesn’t start his best players. Subbing on 75 mins in daft. England only played half decent after they went behind or when Palmer came on
In free kick situation,England only have 1 specialist, and he's not even in the first 11.Cut the crap Southgate;drop Foden. He's not good enough a player to start with.Let Eze take his place. This Palace man is something else.Find a place for your free kick specialist TAA.
