Where have you been? The county in NJ, I grew up in has two volunteer tillers, and a shit load of volunteer towers, my department included.

If you ever come to allentown pa plz do a kme response either tower 2 or tower 1 or engine 9 or engine 14 thoes are all kme apparatus engines but 9 is a 2008 kme pumper for allentown

Pretty cool. At 11:29, there is probably the oldest Pierce engine I’ve seen. Marked as Independent T8-31. Looks nothing like a Pierce.

A lot of companies will come from out of county, which in that case a neighboring department would cover for them, but if there is a call in the township that the parade is in, or a neighboring township that their company is in the parade, the department would just break off the parade.

Are these mostly volunteer departments? We don't have anything like this near me its all full-time paid department's. Always wondered how they get all these rigs and department's together and still cover their areas. Cool video

I’m with you. I can’t help but to wonder who’s covering the calls for service. Where I am, this would be nearly every rig in my county and the probably another one. And I’m right next to a major metro area

I was once a volunteer ff from Delaware County, Pa and when we did parades we were still on radio for calls usually no cover

Always a minimum crew in the rig, plus responders in service while the truck is out. If they got a call, they'd detach and respond, while the volunteers either went to the station to pick up the other rig, or to the scene.
