Ruben Rocha-Upton Cats and bulldogs normally live really good together. My Female 19 year old cat bossed my bulldogs around because she was the queen of the house. She passed away a little over a year ago and I swear my two boys are basically cats after being raised by her lol

smackroscoe Brush the dog daily, wipe the coat with malesetic wipes daily and the shedding issue is minimal. They are definitely a more high maintenance breed than others. Cleaning ears, wrinkles, nose folds daily. Brushing teeth every 3 days, but it's worth it IMO. I wouldn't trade my bully for anything.

I'm very allergic that's my only worry about eventually adopting one. They are NOT a hypoallergenic breed.

@@nd8490 Pugs are very similar -- they do shed and need the same face maintenance. I love bulldogs, too. Our neighbor who had one moved and I miss her loping over for pets. They're sweet dogs.

I think this guy never brushes his dog...like ever! I babysat a bulldog and I would have never imagined that bulldog shedding could get to the point of fluff flying around him like a malamute or smth. o.O The routine I had w/ that bulldog was that after each walk (morning/evening) I'd put him in the tub and give him a rinse on the paws, nether regions and snout, apply some baby powder in a couple of folds around his snout and give him a 30sec brush all over...w/ this 5 min routine after each walk, he barely had a couple of strands loose to leave on me during our post-bath rustle play :) Also, looking at this dog's nails, which are waaay over-grown, the owner is definitely a lazy one...I mean the dog's toes are starting to get deformed by those curling nails -.- I could barely see the nails on the bully I was babysitting...he had such cute fatso paws :)))

hey, hope you and your bulldog are ok. just watched this video which made me smile then read your post. iv got a one year old bulldog called frank, he is my world and feel so happy for the time iv had with him so far. i really hope your dog is doing well. but your right they are wonderful dogs.

Dave M I agree with you besides the weight thing. There are a few different types of English bull dogs and there sizes vary. I have two currently and ones around 50 pounds (male) and the other one is around 80 (also male). The second one if literally twice the size in height and size but they’re both full breeds just different types

That's what made me buy one. He's arriving in 1 week. Can't wait. Me and my wife wanted to buy a dog, and we needed: - not so active dog (we both work, so we don't have time for hours of walking) - very easy going with children (we have 2 small ones) - a dog not for experts (she never had dogs, it won't be a disaster if she doesn't educate perfectly a Bulldog) - not a tiny dog, but not a Great Dane equivalent. The Bulldog was the perfect choice, matching every prerequisite. She really was against Bulldogs because they're ugly (I can understand people find them ugly with their smashed face, even though I love them). I told her: "give them a chance. They match all our needs. Let's go see a breeder, and you'll judge". We talked with the breeder for about 1 hour, with 2 females and the male around. They are so cute, so adorable, she fell in love with them. :)

Kikoo Kikaboo How is it going now? We're also planning on getting one. Its just the perfect choice for families that work and can't take a dog every day out. I feel these dogs are happier when they're inside the house doing nothing than actually going on walks. Just like me😁

Hi Jero, Concerning my Bulldog, who is my first one, everything is going in fine. In fact he doesn't like a lot (at all actually...) going out, unless going out with the kids. This can however be a pain for two reasons. One: because it's very hard to make him tidy... All my previous dogs at a certain point asked to get out. He won't. He'll never do that, but still he needs to do his stuff..... Two: because as you want him to make him tidy and take him out (by force) he'll just stay still, sit refusing to walk (see stubborness point...). He is very young, so as soon as my kids (3 and 5yo) start running and screaming (which happens every... 5 minutes...) he runs with them and bites them. It's absolutely normal for a puppy (4 months old now), but yeah... Be prepared :) But that aside, he's extremely patient and super super gentle with anybody or any other dog. Then, he's an absolute stubborn.... I have to repeat for 1000000 times the same thing before he gets it (he does get it, but he doesn't care). And once he does, after 2 weeks he'll try to start again (i.e. going on the sofa). He's a bit destructive too but nothing close to a labrador or a daschund. Be prepared also for a ton of grooming. All of this though doesn't make him not absolutely lovable, kind, gentle, nice with kids. I love him xD
