It's been many many years I learnt English, its not until i come to know Reduction skill in spoken English I hardly understand any movie or serial what's the characters talking about. No teacher ever taught us
I love these videos. As a native English speaker, they really make me realize why understanding conversational speaking in other languages is so hard for me to learn. I've studied several languages, and I get to a certain level and then progress slows way down because my ear is not used to the way natives speak. The shortening of words, swallowing letters, combining words, etc. It takes a lot of exposure to this kind of speaking to actually progress to a high level of fluency. When I hear certain languages, I find it hard to hear the separation of words. It often sounds like mumbling, and that's because my ears are not accustomed to it. For native speakers, your brain pieces fragments of words that are not pronounced clearly into what they are supposed to be and you just naturally understand. This is a hurdle non-natives just can't easily get past.

You’re the BEST teacher on earth. I started watching your videos tho I didn’t understand English that much but it really helped me to speak clearly and think in English. I always get compliments from my friends and native English speakers because my pronunciation is really good, and I always tell them it’s all because of you.
Wow, how powerful!🔋That’s everything about what I've been struggling to find for a long time! I need to review this again, and each day instead of staring at all the garbage the internet is overflowing with. Thanks a lot!

I have been watching your videos for about half and a year now and all I can say is that my american accent has improved. people thought i was living in the states and get surprised that i do reside in the Philippines. I missed watching your videos where you include your friends and we can all see and observe natural spoken english.
This is the best channel I've ever found on RU-vid. Thanks for creating it! And I will watch all your videos, because I thought your methodology very didactic, just in a few videos.
Hello, Rachel! Thank you so much for all these videos. This one video of yours is reslly helpful. I'm currently having a training in a BPO company and our members/customers are Americans. I've been learning a lot from you, Thanks!!
Hello from Paris France I love english language ,you are very interesting Lady Rachel ,personally I learn english with british accent but american english is so nice too ,respect for your Job Dame Rachel !
I was a journalist from 1982-2017. At one of my gigs as an editor for five weekly community newspapers, my boss would not permit any contractions in any of our 24 papers. Of course, the reporters would sometimes forget and use contractions, so I had to change them all in their articles in addition to my regular editing. What's strange is that I wrote and edited for many other much more complex publications where contractions were perfectly fine.
Hi Rach ,I just followed your conversation with your colleague Tom. It's really interesting and more natural English. God bless you both.you're really doing the American English promotion. The video related with conversation, it makes to hear the sounds and accents very comfortable. Thanks a lot
Hi Rachel. I love your class!! I would like to ask you to consider to analyze British accent and then maybe Australian accent. Listening strong different accents from American are hard for me. Thank you always. You are best English teacher ever! Have a great rest of week.
English from other countries because of the different pronunciation it's so difficult for me to understand, that's why I always going to love the American English
As a student from Germany, I have to report that the US formal English is so close to the "normal" British English, at least to my ears. That seems been always the reason why I preferred US English over British English 🙂. From some RU-vid creators from the UK I know the faster way to speak Britisch English, but that still sounds more formal.
No. Unfortunately, alot of American people won’t understand the ending T if it sounds like British ending T. Example water, liter, lighter, light,.....
Much fun watching this video! I'm in the middle of the two options. The flat t sounding like "d" is so different, as well as the stop t! I really thought it was a short "r". You made it so clear for us! Thanks!
@@rachelsenglishhey Rachel actually I've learned about it use contractions just only speaking, and not in the writing! Let me know if I am correct! By the way, your feedback is too fast take care!
Hi Rachel my name is Shakhzod. I'm learning english. You are best online-teacher. Your accent is great. I'm from Uzbekistan. Good luck. I'm going to play "green card", when I won I won't to be speak with you.
Rachel you're simply great. As you deliver your speech and we listen it looks just I am sitting in front of you. Secondly your speech and style looks like indian. 👍
Hello Rachel I've hard to use this English abbreviations in speech and then I speak English very slowly sometimes I use this abbreviations but I often to use this abbreviations when I write. And I often to use the phrase "I got it"
Please kindly answer this question, Rachel. Is it true that most American people often use past simple in stead of present perfect? That's what I've heard. Personally, I don't think so. I guess you you guys use both tenses in everyday conversations. Thanks in advance. Love your channel so far.
I would say you'll hear both from native speakers - there is so much variety out there! I always suggest that students imitate the English they like listening to the most!
Hi Rachel , write you from Rome. Could you do same conversation in the restaurant by talking to the waiter? It would be very useful.... thanks for your videos! 👍
