Hi, Lucy. Thanks so much for the video. Surprisingly I’ve got 71/71. I am not native speaker and haven’t been studying English for around 20 years since I graduated from the university. I believe I’ve got this result because I practiced dictation every day at university , but there were just words, not sentences. So this is an amazing practice and you have made it even better using sentences instead of just words. Thank you.
I'm actually happy to see myself hit 61/71 in this test. I didn't realize how important dictation practice is to my spoken English until now! Thank you Lucy!
Hi Lucy, my score was 70/71. These small tests gives us immense confidence on ourself, specially for non-native English speakers! Looking forward for more, thank you.
Scored 66/71. Felt short for words like : -professor -wholewheat -flour -a (I wrote as - the pair of shoes) -wound (first one - wound around..) Thanks for the lesson and of course for the vocabularies too.
Hi Lucy, Great idea with the dictations! I’ve scored 68, misspelling: flour/flower, chef/cheff and wholewheat/whole wheat. Looking forward to the next dictation!
I got 65 out of 71 .but this was so useful to me and to concentrate on this tricky words and i want to thank the most incredible teacher who i love her videos and iam enjoying do much watching your videos lucy and thanks for being so supporter and joyful at the same time ❤️💝💝💞
I wanted to share something interesting that happened recently. About three days ago, I received a heartwarming email from our beloved teacher expressing her deep gratitude towards all her subscribers. It was truly touching to read how much she values our support. Naturally, I eagerly awaited a surprise gift, but to my surprise, the teacher had a different request in mind. Instead of a gift, she kindly asked her subscribers if they would be willing to make a donation towards a cause she deeply cares about. While it may not have been what I was expecting, I admire her dedication to making a positive impact in the world. It's wonderful to see someone using their platform to raise awareness and support for important causes.
I call myself lucky having scored almost the full 71 of 71. I only didn't write wholewheat together and I didn't put a hyphen between flower and shaped. BUT: I couldn't write quickly enough and had to hit pause after the first two readings. Thank you Lucy. That was a nice dictation test.
Years before, I was curious about your content that it would be monotonous. I still remember those days when you even started the then channel apart from this english lessons channel. Now, I am happy to see you grow this big with millions of subscribers and a variety of contents. Words from your subscriber when you were sub-million. Thank you for your videos and all the best for your future.
I got 71/71. This test was extremely easy, interesting and enjoyable. Hope for more such tests to test our English in future from you. P. S.: I loved your neon nails 💅.
Very interesting lesson, Lucy. I got 67/71. If I was doing this dictation a month ago, I would have probably gotten 66 as the word 'professor' was always confusing me and I instictly wanted to write 'proffesor'. Luckily, I have got that one deeply stored in my mind now. Anyway, it will be nice to have another similar lesson.
My score is 59 out of 71. Started well and ended well but beaten up in the 3rd and 4th sentence of the test. The reason is simply that I consistently haven't spoken English about one and a half year. My brain just cannot go with the flow of the written and spoken English. My brain goes like "memory exceeded" whenever I listen to or read something in English. Hopefully, and God knows I will, I will overcome it day by day. Thanks for this amazing vide, Lucy. Love from Turkiye xx
Hello Lucy, At First I want to thank you for correcting my word differeneces in the word THEIR, THERE & THEY're and am eagerly waiting for your next post 😅,Once again thank you for making such efforts.
Thank you so much for this lesson. I did only 54/71. Dictation is a really good exercice to realise that we don't really understand all the words but only an approximative sens of the speach... My worsts mistakes: though, tough, wholewheat, flour, pear tree, tear off, wound and fought...
I got 65/71. As a french native speaker who never lived or traveled to a country where english is spoken, I would say it's not so bad. The fourth sentence ("He left a pair...") was very easy.
Hi! I am your fan.I ❤ your videos. Is there any way I can learn English as fast as light.Your videos helps me to clear all my doubts. I love English.I do every things that you recommend to do. And that's why I always keep a dictionary with myself.🎉
I am from Mumbai ( India). Thank you very much for sending me such an amazing video with your dianamic voice and it helps me for my students also, Love your style of presentation...
Thank you for this test miss Lucie. My score: 63/71 My misspellings: schleduled/scheduled Twelve/half though/tough Wholewig/whole-wheat Flowers/flour Tear out/tear off Round/wound Falled/fought
I got 62/71...it was a very good lesson to practice and to improve listening skills. Thanku so much Mam. You made it so easy and interesting for us...🇮🇳
Hi, Lucy, thanks for this challenge; a made a few mistakes: on the third sentence I wrote "Cheff" with two "Fs" and "whole wheat" as separate words, and on the fourth sentence a wrote the wrong preposition: "He left THE" pair of shoes....The rest is OK
hi lucy! it's been awhile since i watch your video and it makes me realize that i have to recap my english dictation before taking another IELTS test. my score is 58 btw :))
I noticed your British emphasis in the word "(past) participle": "par-TIH-sih-pull" whereas in American English, we stress the first syllable: "PART-ih-sih-pull" See also: Dr. Seuss's "The Tough Coughs as he Ploughs the Dough"
This is just wonderful idea to do these dictations! I have problem with native speaker understanding. It helps so well! Thank you very much Lucy! I would love to do the dictations oftener with you❤
Thank you so much! I'd like to have more videos like this. It was amazing, Lucy😍. Let's have more please🙏🏼🥰 I got 56 out of 71. I'd like to keep working.
Hi Lucy. It was a difficult exercise, but at the same time fascinating. I've scored 53 points. I'll keep my best to improve my listening skills. I really appreciate it!
71 on 71!! It's probably because our teachers LITERALLY used to dictate notes to us during high school, so I've had loads of practice! Anyway enjoyed the lesson, thanks a lot ! :)
