English has loads of 'misnomers' - things with names that are often considered misleading. These include, for example, 'ladybird' (not a bird) and 'prairie dog' (not a dog)!
The origin of these words is really interesting, if you're sharing this with English language learners, you could look into the origins as a learning activity. These languages are made to help your students find the fun in language - I hope that they make your students smile and remember that everyone finds English challenging at first!
