Hi there. Good question. 'And you' is the response to: 'Nice to meet you.' When we say, 'And you' as a response, it is short for, 'And it's also nice to meet you.' Hope this helps you!
Nice lesson, thank you all. In the past, I only knew about formal and informal language. This is my first time of coming across neutral language. I finally know and understand the situations to use these words.
Thanks for the video! Though I must say it's a little bit odd that during interactions you don't appear as looking to each other, but to the horizon ;)
Our presenters all live in different places, so the dialogues are shot in two parts and edited together. It's the best we can do with the setup we have right now.
@@Oxfordonlineenglish1 lmaoo they couldn't find two English speakers who live in the same place in the UK, that's quite a bamberhootin tittyknuckles governor!

Thanks for the video, I know a lot about how to properly and properly greet my friends. I will try to use it to teach my clueless little brother Greetings and introduce myself.

In the informal meeting (7:54), I was wondering when Oliver said "you too" should have been "me too". But upon second thought, he might have meant to say "good to meet you too" but in a contracted form.
After I watched the introductory video on the video, now I understand better how to introduce or how to introduce friends using English. and talking too woww very good Thank you for sharing this introductory video
