I am Romanian. From our perspective emigrating to West is a dream because of the rule of law, infrastructure etc. But after listening some of your videos.. I don t know about this trade.. liberty as you say for wealth. As romanians maybe we should evaluate better what we have. Thanks for the perspective!
52 years old romanian living in uk...planning on selling the house and go back home in near future...the western dream of prosperity is over sadly...the society here look so similar to comunist regime in some instances
Thank you, I actually know the owner of the company pretty well now so I'm very comfortable that won't backfire in some way. It's really incredible how good that equipment is now.
Great video stressing the positives about this wonderful country. I live a very different life in the city, but I love living in the city. Totally agree about the people: extremely friendly, although I live in what has been termed the "Chicago" of Romania!
He can look into mountain villages, some are so remote there’s only 5 old people left. There was a city festival where some “mountain people “ came down from the mountain to share their customs and they were so remote we didn’t even know they existed lol
You are a man of very high quality. Glad to have you here :) P.S: Few months ago they changed to law, you are not required to have a building permit on the country side, if the construction is less than 150 square meters. You will need however to notify the authorities about the construction.
will do soon, i'm talking with several people clearly serious about buying so i'll probably make the next update when someone else is involved, we'll see
@@anthonybreaux4741 that's very dependent on the specific area, i can give details like that to people who email me directly. it's more about strategy to get the best price achievable in the area than the prices themselves. it's about patience and persistence.
yes, sorry, we're still here. we're working hard to get a real community off the ground so we have some time constraints on making new videos, thanks for following us. :)
Nice place he has there ! I own a plum plantation on an entire hill .. and many other lands around in my home county in Romania. I live in uk now and when i see fence left and right is a feeling like a mouse in a trap . You only allowed to fallow one path .. blocked by fences no freedom . Plus uk lifestile will distroy your brain in time and is hard to retire here without mental ilness .
If you want to raise animals in remote areas, mind the bears. I have a friend who moved in a not very remote place, but still he has big problems with the bears, as the whole village has. At the beginning (something like 10years ago) was bearable, but not anymore. And the problem only worsens. So take that aspect in account.
@@randomromaniabear spray, do not let food outside as appetizers , raise a few big dogs . The kind that fight off bear and wolves. Mioritic or Bucovina sheep dogs do that in packs without training. Always make your presence known in the wild and watch your surroundings. If it were so bad ,nobody would raise sheep and cattle anymore and all Sheppards would be extinct. God forbid. Wild animals fear humans. Be fearless and strong. You're one of us now. 😊
Quick tip before moving to Romania if you don't want people to dislike you. Do not call the rural life "primitive" Is traditional rather. Romanians kept true to their traditions and often would argue that it is a better way of living. More sustainable and healthier, which is why you might find Romanian food produce is actually fresher, tastier and better quality than the produce found in most Western EU countries.
Believe it or not when you look at some crazy stuff happening sometimes in the West these days... primitive really is a compliment in that way. My friends , sometimes this ultra progressivism has really nothing to do with the sense of the word Progress... its just politics and words-play.
@@annaandrea8320Sure... and progressive went full circle and became regressive woke. In certain political shtholes, still considered civilized societies for some reason. But I guess not many would know what Im talking about, its not like they show it on TV news.
I did not feel offended by his use of the word "primitive", because he did not use it pejoratively, actually for him a primitive kind of life style is of high value. Btw, in Romanian "primitiv" is "primitive" and pronunciation is the same...Welcome to Romania, English guy!
In Romania we have a saying regarding authorities: "spunem ca ei și facem ca noi". Which means that "we are saying like they want it but we are doing it like we want it". This principle has definetly some bad parts as Romanians aren't really known for respecting the laws but on the hand it is extremly hard for a government to become authoritarian and to control the society too much because people will simply not accept it. They managed to do it after WW2 with the Soviet tanks but the guy ended up on the wall 1989 with AK47 sounds around him.
Do you have a website site where I can get your contact information And what area of the country are you living. I need to find out how finacing works. Do I need all the cash up front to buy a house with land or a Villa. Thank you for the videos. I first went to Romania in 2003. It was a train wreck. It has came along way. Does not surprise me at all. Romanian people are very hard working and industrious.
Being too packed and wide open is a good enough reason to leave England, but Scotland is full of wide open spaces. I still understand wanting to leave, though
@@randomromania yes, I can imagine. Life here in Scotland is sadly not without stressful bureaucracy and one cannot breathe without having to pay taxes of some kind
@@nuancematters you can still find places in romania that are so remote that should you wish to you can live with little contact with the outside world
@@randomromania that sounds very appealing for sure. I have only just found your channel and am very interested so forgive me if any of my questions I have are silly but...I mentioned Romania to my dad just in conversation about how I think it looks incredibly beautiful and he agreed but according to him, it's a dangerous place. I am not considering living there (at least not seriously at this time) but I could be persuaded because like many Westerners, I am very disheartened at the current situation and have been looking into possible alternatives. Living an isolated life is very appealing, I have to admit
Extremely interested in moving my young family of 4 and our family pets from Canada. Interested in acquiring some land and homesteading or farming. I've never lived anywhere but here but as you probably know it is getting scarier by the day here. I am lost at where to even get started at looking into this.
Depends on what you wanna grow on the farmstead, what kind of animals you want to breed, and what kind of geography you want to live in(ex: plains, hills mountains). Also there are different levels of development to the region/citys. Maybe you can try to find and answer to the first points and they start looking at the areas that tick the boxes.
Hi, please email me on headforthehillsromania@gmail.com and I'll give you a lot more detail on what I'm doing. Even if it's not for you I can give you a lot of tips relating to moving here and buying a house.
Google the city called Giurgiu. It's 40 miles away from Bucharest the capital city of Romania. Two days ago I found an offer 10 miles away from Giurgiu, a house with 4 rooms and about 1800 square yards of garden, all for 16.000 euros. It was a village. Not bad. And the weather is better by far in Romania.
Hi. I’m a new subscriber. I like the channel. I may move or retire to Romania in the future. I’m an American Westerner. I got some questions. Does Romania allow foreigners to legally still work over there retired or not? Do legal residents or retirees get access to universal health care over there? Can a single person currently live comfortably off of $1,300USD over there a month? Thank you very much. 😃👍🏻🇺🇸
There is not much difference unless you don't have any money or income. If you email me on headforthehillsromania@gmail.com I can give you some more direct information.

You report chicken's death at authorities in Finland if you own above certain number ? 😂 My Lord, allow me to explain, one of my chickens has expired, it was a young one , Bella Eggstein, here is the file and death certificate.
People who want to escape mass hypnosis still can do that in romania. You guys should have seen the 90s in romania, if you think now it's free, which it is in a lot of aspects , in the 90s there was 10 time more freedom, imagine today's sentiment but energized to the 10 fold, you could truly taste life then, and the only toxic ones were some politicians that you didn't interact with. Bbq every weekend everywhere in nature you could lay eyes one, the forests were full of people spontaneously gathering, there were even less regulations than today , creativity in arts was flourishing after the bottleneck from the commies was broken, kids running around everywhere screaming playing soccer basket biking everything, they were also partying a lot, you could truly drink and emerse in true life. Don't get me wrong, people still worked hard , I'm not describing hedonism, or abuse like in the west, but people truly loved to live. Now, in the present that energy is still there , but in a more relax tranquil kinda way, but still the same optimism and love of life I see in people here, sure with a healthy dose of self loathing, but it's beautifull.
@randomromania You might not like to correct things like that but I do it anyway. It is important for the clarity and quality of the message. People shouldn't be incouraged to become such snowflakes and feel insulted when someone is correcting them, especially if they make mistakes.

so what is your problem with it? ya, they can buy it, if they are EU citizens, persons that are not from EU can buy also, with a company, they make a small company, and they can buy it. But, what a brave romanian boy you think you are, right? protecting your country from the nasty western people? oh, wait, also from hungarians and roma people? are you sorry that Antonescu died, and didnt manage to finish his "good" work, isnt it? 😆😆😆
You keep pushing with the same text in the comments section of this channel. As a romanian, I really don't understand your point. We are all human and should be able to choose where, on this earth, we want to spend our short life. If I want to live in a mediterranean zone, but I've been born in Romania, what you are telling me is that I can't buy a piece of land there and peacefully live my life in there, right?
