I usually don’t like to listen to people talk about their homes too much. I prefer to just view the home, but this lady… I just LOVED listening to her stories and did not want the interview to end. Lovely in every possible way!
I was a stockist for Annie Sloan and I've been in Oxfrord 7 years ago, during a Megaworkshop with Annie at her HQ! One of the best times of my life, with great people! Annie is an amazing lady, I love her deeply and she's been really inspirational to me! A true artist!
I love the house. And the owner is so laidback. You can feel it in her house. It is a vers interesting place with object and thing bought in different countries. It is busy but at the same time a relaxing atmosphere.
She is a true Bohemian....what a lovely lady. The house is eclectic to say the least! My house is eclectic as well but minimalist. For me a inspirational, and so finally thinking about including more things from my travels that I do love but are sitting in drawers.
I moved to Madeira recently from Prince Edward Island, Canada. And a bit heart broken that I have to part with so many of my treasures . There's also this part of me that wants to be a minimalist. After watching Annie, she has reassured me that I could never be the latter. I will try to bring as much as possible to my new home on every trip I take across the pond. Annie your home is truely marvellous and cozy.
I really love the combination of Victorian and eclectic bohemian. Loved seeing Graham Sutherland piece and all the others well framed. Loved the commentary. Thank you.
I love, love this designer’s home because it reminds me of my daughter’s home even though she lives in a small apartment in the West. There’s a particular way Mrs. Ann Sloan is, she is considered herself eccentric but I called her an artist of a kind. Many people wishes to have a house to be able to enjoy their collections of items they feel comfortable and happy with them and to that I called it healthy attitude about design.
I knew that I was going to love this vflm from the first few seconds. Quite wonderful. Would love to see her bedroom and the colors and fabrics in it. Perhaps next time. Thanks.
Eclectic & eccentric 🎉🎉🎉😊 Annie. Love this house tour. Such treasured memories. Colorful world. Enjoyed the house tour. It's Stunning & such an Inspiration. 🎉❤
I love Annie's home like the other comments I find myself being mesmerised by every detail of her house usually I m not too interested in personal objects or decor, but everything is full of stories and character, obviously every object is meaningful to the owner and she didn't go into a lot of details but my mind can't help but imagine all these interesting stories behind every piece of item the adventures she's had. A very soulful home, thanks for the home tour Annie.
Ohhhh I have the same door frame and door colour for all my doors in my home - Dulux 'Stream' in gloss, and my walls are the same colour as the doors and frame but in a low sheen. Love a colourful house! 😍
Thank you Madame to introduce us into your private delicious and rich univers. I love your kind of poetic house and the colorful' soul you gave to it. 💛💚💜
I made myself watch this, to see what I could learn. You are happy, playful and must have visual interest and stimulation, …you are an artist, creative, love using colors…like to collect history and memories and sentimental stuff…a bit of hoarding or collecting…you buy what you love, and that is good, its beautiful to you, they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I enjoyed you, I liked that your home fell like it had a lot to say. You did some great artwork that you played down but they were really exceptional.
Well 2nd time viewing and I'll view again because of all the ideas you give me. Thank you so much.x. Tomorrow I will order Cspri Pink for my banisters. Rhe pop of colour will enhance my cottage hallway. Xx
I had a friend who told me if you painted a room the wrong color you’d know immediately but your brain adjusts in a few days and you could have a glaringly wrong color and not realize it if you wait.
What a very upbuilding video. We call it “I’ll be happy when…” I hear your overall message as finding contentment and setting reasonable goals. Interestingly the Greatest man who ever lived Jesus, the Great Teacher said, “HAPPY are those conscious of their spiritual need,”. (Matthew 5:3) I find happiness in acknowledging this truth by my studying the Bible, then gardening is a way to connect to the Creator as well. ❤
