I am watching this in February of 2022 because even though I am Christian, my darling wife to be is Russian Orthodox and I wanted to get an idea of what is involved in the ceremony. All I can say is wow, though I do not really understand the whole crown thing. Even though it is 8 years late, congratulations to you both and thank you for the video :)

How come non of the women are wearing head coverings? Even the bride isn’t veiled.

I have never heard it in English. Nevertheless, it sounded nice. I am used to the Russian Orthodox language. In a traditional Russian wedding, we do not put on the actual crowns on. The Maid of Honor and Best Man hold the crown above the bride and groom head while the priest takes them around the altar three times.

In Serbian Ortodox wedding we wear same crowns all the time of Holy Secret of wedding is proceded, Greeks wear just flover crowns, to me our customs are more beautiful, We also serve in Church Slavic, in this language We from Serbian Ortodox Church passed to you all holy books and Liturgy, You in Russia never served in any but our common Church Slavic, cause our community was equaly important in Christianity of first centuries as greek, You received Orthodox faith directly from your brothers not from some foreign Greeks, this is lie, they are pushing, but we have our chronicles to remind us.
