The ending was a great touch! I always felt sorry for Monteiro , Schumi and Barichello could've show a bit of support from him on the podium despite the race situation. He is imo a great driver and deserved more from the sport. His podium was just a little bit of justice for him in F1.

President Casey to be honest i dont blame them. remember 14 cars pulled out before the start so it was obvious why the ferraris left quietly and were in no mood for celebrating. but well done to tiago.

I was at the Indy Cars Grand Prix of Indianapolis and before they started the track invasion I met a guy who was at the race that day. He told ke he read on a forum that Michelin teams were thinking of not racing but it wasn't confirmed so when it did happen he was like "oh shit, they're actually doing it." And with the fact the US GP was the cheapest race of the year and so many people from around the world came to watch. You could tell the boos were loud and that a lot of people were pissed

It was just because he's a great fan of the series and I asked him, but we have real drivers/riders who are fan of the series but the contracts don't allow them to join us as much as they would.

Hehe, very funny, except that I think the Michelin drivers at Indy 2005 wanted to race; it was the teams and the FIA who stopped them and didn't come to a compromise; there was no drivers strike like South Africa '82.

When #MichaelSchumacher (#Germany) won the 2005 #USGP followed by #RubensBarrichello (#Brazil), it was another 1-2 finish for #Ferrari and #Jordan's #TiagoMonteiro (#Portugal) finished his only podium in #F1 #history. #Bridgestone drivers only #Michelin not allowed

Gigidag77 There were a lot of talks about how to avoid problems, since making pitstop, to create a chicane and even to make the race shorter, but you can see the chicane moment when Kimi ask for it

Because it WAS a historic race. For all the wrong reasons, yes, but the six car race at Indy is quite the unforgettable moment in 2000's F1. It would be a crime to leave it out.

Tbh, Im glad this happened as a bridgestone fan. Michelin has long monopolizing the speed world, whether its Bugatti, Koenigsegg or Hennessey or any shit, they all use Michelin. I would love to give Michelin my middle fingers in the air.
