I spent $20 to review this so you won't have to take a chance. What does it do? What do you need? Does it work? Is it passable? Buy from Amazon US - amzn.to/3obbaEx Buy from Amazon AU - amzn.to/3G4SFrn
Thanks for the video. I hope you test it with 5.1 audio source, where it specialized to check if the separation from optical to 6 channel audio is really work as expected. Some 5.1 audio source for example will have someone say "left channel - center channel - right channel - surround right - surround left" then just a buzzing sound, each will sound on each speaker respectively. Another source is an instrument music, such as the piano sound on front left, the singer sound on the center, the trumpet on the front right, the guitar on the rear right, the flute on the rear left and the bass on the sub. With this kind of source, then we can know if the machine separate each channel correctly. Anyway, thanks once again for the video, Sir.
Thank you for not using bluetooth. May i know if it can decode stereo to 5.1 particularly FLAC music? It would be good if you can make a sound test using a 5.1 system on different scenarios.
Just bought the same unit and tested out the prologic decoder and realized it DOES NOT decode analog stereo input into 5.1 channels. Have not tested the optical or coaxial input yet, but the analog stereo input will be directed into mono sound. Very disappointed.
Probably a bit late but I have one of these units and they lack a 75R terminating resistor on the coaxial connector. Easy enough to solder on to the back of the connector if you are handy with an iron.
hmmmm, you obviously got your Optical connector to work .. mine doesn't. I've searched the net, few videos showing optical doesn't work while Coaxial does .. I only have Optical connector on my TV,. Plus I'm seeing videos that some Decoders are FAKE ! showing different internals. My 5.1 surround speakers are old, no optical - no HDMI - No bluetooth ..
i have this guy hooked up to a high end hoe theatre system using vintage amps and for movies 5.1 dts/dd sounds superb. My bro said if I'd spent 20 grand it couldnt sound better and im inclined to agree. The only prob is on some DTS 5.1 music trks the decoder can't cope and gets in a muddle. I think it's to do with either the psu needs more amps or it doesn't like wav files bc dts flacs play great. The only thing i'd like is hdmi input as opposed to toslink bc toslink is somewhat compressed at 5.1 whereas hdmi aint
HD audio rush box comes with 2.1 but after changing the mode center channel comes in 5.1 but surround channels but subwoofer doesn't come please help me
do you need to have a amp or can you plug the speakers straight into it ? my amplifier broke last week and i want a cheap way to connect my tv to my existing speakers
