I've just seen the video and your comment. We're on Springer no 4!. I hope yours has given you as much pleasure and companion ship as ours have over the years. They're not for everyone but I hope you stuck with yours
Great to see, the equivalent of a good parent. This dog will be so secure because he knows who is in command and so knows how to behave to please. Well done owner.
That's great training, my past 2 springers have both been rescues so I missed the chance to get them perfectly trained, managed to get them slightly less mad though. Beautiful dogs :)
My Springer spaniel can do a lot of the same tricks, but he is too fat to do the trick where he sits on his back paws 😁 In addition to those, we also taught my dog to lay on the ground and cover/wipe his nose. I think it's funny how irritated your dog gets after a little while, but it's nothing compared to mine! He truly has developed an entire language with his voice and we know exactly what he wants based on the sounds he makes. Great demonstration of the Springer spaniel's abilities!
thats amazing, so cute and funny, my springer spaniels 5 months old, ive taught him sit, down, and both paws, really want to teach him everything in this video, henry's awesome :)
My two springers (R.I.P) one off them would never leave my side the other would run off through the bushes on wildlife trails etc then i would here a splash in the river 5mins later but she always came back with a loud call of her name,i could also always leave my dinner plate on the floor whilst getting a drink n theyd always just looked but never touch. My springers were natural well behaved mind readers probably like a lot of springers if you were lucky. I remember one evening we went through a gap in a metal fence at the end of a park ended up in the woods with no foot path then disturbed a Hornets nest, the bees were dive bombing us it felt like dropping stones n i was brushing them off the dogs so we all ended up running with fear to the river being chased then i jumped in and Bell n T followed and we swam to the other side about 50 feet (Tia hated water she hesitated but soon followed lol).
AWH he is so cute! we have a springer too how did you teach him the hold the treat on his nose thing? Ive tried with mine but he always moves his nose!?
What an amazing springer you have there. I have a springer spaniel and her names gypsy. She does paw, and rolls over and I often hold a biscuit in my hand and let her try and sniff which one its in and she always paws me to let me know its in the right hand and I give the buiscuit to her. I want to do the trick you done by putting the buiscuit on her nose. That was great. Nice dog you have by the way
Wow! How did you manage to get him to do all that? I have enough trouble trying to get my springer to lie down. The only two things she willingly does are sit and paw. Having seen this, I am going to be a lot stricter with her now I know they can do it.
i love spaniels, mines the best thing i have ever spent money on, she's 9 month now, had to learn her back from a tiny age because of the baby but for the life of me i cannot get her to roll over, only thing she'll roll over for is tummy tickled :) x
wow that's amazing. i have two springers, one's a puppy and the other one's 10. the older one can come here, sit, and lay down and the younger one can sit and come, but that's it.
More vids!! My springer is 17 weeks and he can do sit, lie down, paw and roll over. He's gonna be just like Henry! Henry is my hero! Superdog! More vids please!
+HENRYHOBBS1 Henry is gorgeous, is he a working springer? Have you had him from a pup, if so, you wouldn't mind telling me who the breeder is? Thanks for uploading.
what I find amazing about them is their sharpness, how quickly their mind works, especially when they are doing tricks for a reward. Mine is sharp as a razor compared to my golden retriever. Much smarter, in a certain way. I also find them to be more affectionate and eager to please. The only downside is the hunting behaviours if you let them outside of a night time.
